  <p>This post is advertised as an 8a post, we are willing to consider applications from Psychologists who do not yet meet the essential criteria for a Band 8a, but who would be interested in undertaking the post at a Band 7 initially, with a supportive plan for development and progression in due course.</p> <p>We welcome applications from staff who are currently coming to the end of their training in Clinical or counselling psychology that on successful completion will achieve the required qualification and registration with HCPC as Practitioner Psychologist. Trainee counselling psychologists are eligible to apply for and to be shortlisted for interview and to be offered qualified posts when they are in their 3rd year of the doctoral training and have the following confirmed as completed by the university. This information may be requested prior to interview: a. All clinical competencies. b. 80% of the 450 supervised clinical practice hours (360 hours)</p> <p>Trainee clinical psychologists are eligible to apply for and to be shortlisted for interview and to be offered qualified posts when they are in their third year of training, as they will have completed their core clinical competencies by this stage of the course.</p>

  <p>This is an exciting opportunity to take up a dynamic role within LDCAMHS in the Durham and Darlington community. You will be joining an enthusiastic and dynamic team, composed of different professionals including nursing, support workers, psychiatry, speech and language and occupational therapy. We have strong links with the IPBS Team and the Holly Unit, as well as our colleagues in generic CAMHS. There is a great emphasis on team working and supporting our collective wellbeing. You will also benefit from the wealth of experience from the other established staff members in the team. As a psychologist, you will be supported to develop professionally through opportunities for further training and effective supervision. The role is both varied and interesting, drawing upon a wide range of skills and experiences. It allows you to develop your therapeutic creativity in engaging with a diverse population of children and young people. You will have the opportunity to work systemically with families and our partner agencies. There are opportunities to pursue interests in research, audit, governance issues and leadership. You will also be joining a supportive network of psychological practitioners across the whole of Durham and Tees Valley, offering more opportunities for support, learning, and continuing professional development.</p>

  <p>This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and energetic Senior Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to work in the A &amp; E of Mental Health. <p>You will support and assist the core aims within the service, both in direct clinical work and as a positive member of the multi-disciplinary team and wider service, having an important strategic and liaison function supporting the transition of patients between services.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <ul>  <li>You will provide psychological assessment and treatment within a multi-disciplinary team and offer consultation and treatment for our more complex cases.</li>  <li>You will offer clinical supervision to assistant psychologists and trainees, as well as Band 7 Psychologists and our multi-disciplinary colleagues.</li>  <li>There will be an opportunity to take a lead role in service development-oriented research and publishing research.</li>  <li>To ensure the clinical effectiveness of own practice and of service functioning by undertaking research and development activities relevant to the service area</li>  <li>To be regularly responsible for providing training placements for trainee clinical/counselling psychologists in this specialism.</li>  <li>To undertake high quality direct (assessment and therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory and evaluative) specialist psychology interventions in these services taking substantial professional responsibility and exercising autonomous judgement in their professional practice.</li> </ul>

a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist at our forensic mental health hospital, Heatherwood
Court. Comprising of a Locked Rehabilitation Service (1 female ward) and a Low
Secure Service (1 male and 2 female wards), Heatherwood Court treats patients with
complex needs, including severe and enduring mental illness, complex trauma,
and difficulties consistent with a diagnosis of personality disorder. </p><p>We are looking for applicants with
experience of working with service users with complex needs and risk behaviours
along with those who have an interest and prior experience of delivering
evidenced-based interventions for people with personality disorder and/or
complex mental health problems. We are particularly interested in candidates
who have received DBT training, but would offer training to suitable candidates
on appointment.</p><p>This post will join an established, dynamic
team of psychologists including a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, , Forensic Psychologist and
Assistant Psychologists, working as part of a specialist multi-disciplinary
team. The team are also supported by Positive Practice Workers, graduate
psychologists in blended role combining both support worker shifts and clinical
days with the teams. There are also regular opportunities to network with the
wider Iris Care Group qualified psychologists within Departmental Meetings and Psychology

  <p>We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced clinician who has experience and expertise working with complex cases within the area of adult mental health, to join an established, skilled Psychological Services team. Applications are invited for a Band 8a Principal Psychologist working 4 days a week (0.8 w.t.e). We will also consider applicants who are looking for a Band 7 post, with potential for preceptorship to Band 8a.We are dedicated to delivering high quality, evidence-based interventions. The range of psychologically focused therapies we deliver include DBT, CBT, ACT, MBCT, CAT, CFT and EMDR. You will join a psychologically minded multidisciplinary team. As a team, we are committed to working with and supporting the wider team to develop and implement their psychological skills.You will need to be keen to work flexibly within an MDT, and have well developed interpersonal skills.The post holder will be supervised and managed by a senior clinical psychologist and will be based in the Andover Community Mental Health Team (CMHT). We would like the post holder to provide specialist psychological assessment and therapy individually and through group programmes as well as offering advice, consultation and training to staff in the team.   <p>To work as an autonomous, independent practitioner responsible for own work and intervention and for the interpretation of agreed guidelines and policies in providing a highly specialist Psychology service. To undertake complex assessments and consultancy, providing expert advice to Psychological Services colleagues and the wider clinical multi-professional team. To provide specialist treatment for complex cases and plan and prioritise own clinical workload; To comment and propose change to policy or service development within the area psychological service.To provide specialist supervision for trainee psychologists and to provide psychological guidance and supervision for multidisciplinary clinical colleagues.</p><p>To provide highly specialist psychological assessments of clients referred to the team based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including psychological and neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the clients care.</p><p>To formulate and implement plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of a clients mental health problems, based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of the clients problems, and employing methods based upon evidence of efficacy. <p><strong>We are looking for someone who is</strong></p>

 <li>A HCPC registered Clinical/Counselling/Forensic Psychologist with experience in a clinical forensic or mental health setting</li>
 <li>Experience of providing staff training and clinical supervision.</li>
 <li>Preferably trained in Cognitive behavioural Therapy (CBT) </li>
 <li>Passionate about working with people with a range of complex mental health needs</li>
 <li>Capable of treating difficulties such as psychosis, Bipolar Affective Disorder, physical &amp; verbal aggression, and drug &amp; alcohol problems.</li>

<p><strong>Cygnet Raglan House:</strong></p>

<p>Cygnet Raglan House is a high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) service for women. The service supports 25 individuals with a primary diagnosis of mental illness, but they may also have a complex secondary diagnosis, including a personality disorder.</p>

<p><strong>Your Day-to-Day</strong></p>

<ul>
 <li>Youll be working 40 hours a week</li>
 <li>Work as a team Psychologist within a multidisciplinary team (MDT)</li>
