If you are a Consultant Psychiatrist with experience of working with people in inpatient settings who may be treated under the Mental Health Act and are interested in providing treatment for women and men who may have suffered trauma and are affected by mental disorders then join the new team at Dunnock View.

&nbsp;As the Consultant Psychiatrist, you will assume Responsible Clinician (RC) duties for Dunnock View, with the support of non-consultant grade doctors and the Lead Consultant Psychiatrist.
&nbsp;
<p>You will play an active role in supporting clinical governance processes and contribute towards the successful development of the service. </p>
<p><strong>Your responsibilities will include:</strong></p>

    <li>Ensure that people admitted are assessed, treated, and discharged safely</li>
    <li>Medication management</li>
    <li>Quality assurance, complaints and co-production</li>

  <p>This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and registered psychological therapist or counsellor to join our dedicated Psychological Therapies Team, working with adult patients across the Trust. The role offers variety and professional development, as you will work across our three hospital sites, gaining exposure to different settings and experiences--while only ever being based at one site at a time.</p>
<p>For the first six months, you will be primarily based at Southend Hospital, providing continuity as you settle into the role. Our department is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including Elekta Linear Accelerators and a Halcyon system with Ethos software--enabling the delivery of advanced adaptive radiotherapy.  We use CRAD SGRT throughout the department. We also operate a busy and well-established brachytherapy service, treating a range of prostate, gynaecological, and skin cancers. <p>This competency-based role offers flexibility and scope for development. You will have the opportunity to rotate through all key areas of the department--including CT, pre-treatment checking, treatment, and brachytherapy--or, if preferred, specialise in an area aligned with your experience and interests.</p>

Our Southend, Essex and Thurrock services cover 144 schools currently. We currently cover 48% of secondary and primary school within those areas.</p> <p>The MHST deliver evidence-based individual and group interventions in educational settings for children experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties aged 4 to 18 years old. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, including mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process, new starters will also have the opportunity to meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend several drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing, and key processes.
