  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen in Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust's (CNTW). The role will be for a Peer Supporter for the Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorders Service (CNDS) based at Walkergate Park. CNDS is a specialist second opinion autism spectrum disorder (ASD) service for children and young people. They provide diagnostic assessments where there is uncertainty around diagnosis. In addition, they also provide consultation and management advice to local services concerning children and young people who already have an existing ASD diagnosis.</p> <p>The Peer Supporter role is a valuable part of the multi-disciplinary support that CNDS provides to children, young people and their families. The role is aimed at people with a diagnosis and personal lived experience of being assessed and receiving a diagnosis of Autism. The main intent of this post is to provide support to children and young people going through a diagnostic autism assessment with CNDS. This might involve supporting children and young people with neurodiversity to engage in the assessment, consideration of reasonable adjustments to support children and young people during the assessment and provide post diagnostic support and advice to children and young people and families. </p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>This is a unique opportunity to work as part of a specialist clinical team, utilising your personal experience to:</p> <ul>  <li>Support and engage children and young people</li>  <li>Consider with children and young people what reasonable adjustments may be required during the assessment process. </li>  <li>Empower children, young people and families and carers by providing child and family friendly resources</li>  <li>Involving children and young people (where possible) families and carers in the assessment by amplifying the voices of families via engagement with the team</li>  <li>Provide post-diagnostic support to families and young people</li> </ul> <p>This will be a challenging, but rewarding role, working with children and young people and their families and carers. The post holder must have the ability to communicate where there are barriers to understanding, and they must be able to work as part of a team. They must be confident in working and communicating with people. </p>

  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the orthopaedic therapy team at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital.</p> <p>To provide a high standard physiotherapy service to the inpatient trauma and elective orthopaedic wards as well as the arthroplasty clinic at the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, Basingstoke.</p> <p>To perform advanced therapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions, to provide a diagnosis and develop and deliver an individualised treatment programme.</p> <p>To hold responsibility for own caseload and be responsible for a defined area of the service or a particular patient type, working often without direct supervision. Supervision takes the form of regular formal training and clinical reasoning sessions, peer review and case conferences. Access to advice and support from a senior therapist is always available if required, clinical work is evaluated through supervision sessions.</p> <p>To deputise for the Band 7 in operational management of the team when required.</p> <p>To provide supervision and teaching within the MDT and to students.</p> <p>To undertake quality improvement projects to further own and team's clinical practice. About the role
The post holder will work within the service, whilst undertaking a programme of training at John Moores University, where they will progressively learn how to deliver low intensity interventions, at high volume, with patients with anxiety and depression. You will receive excellent support in the role including extensive clinical and caseload supervision.
 
You will offer a range of effective treatment and support available to people with common mental health problems such as depression and anxiety and extend this support to provide psychological intervention services to adults with an intellectual/learning disability who have concurrent common mental health problems.
 
The post holder will split their time between university attendance and working in service, conducting assessments, and providing face to face and remote Low Intensity Interventions.
Please note: It is a requirement of the role, that successful candidates seek BABCP accreditation within 6 months of relevant patient contact and qualifying.
 
 
About you
You will have experience of working with Mental Health and will be able to inspire and engage people and have the ability to identify barriers and understand client needs, while possessing excellent motivational skills.
 
You will have an understanding of working with people with a variety of complex needs, and experience of working with mental health, physical health, learning needs and substance misuse issues would be an advantage for this post. Your knowledge of working within a community-based service is essential and will have equipped you with the relevant communication and interpersonal skills required to build good therapeutic relationships with clients
 
You will be able to demonstrate high standards in written communication as well as excellent verbal communication including telephone skills. You will also be able to evaluate and put in place the skills and knowledge that you are provided as part of the training and development opportunities included in this role.
 
It is essential that you hold a health-related degree. Training in nursing, social work, occupational therapy or within a psychological therapy would be desirable.

You will offer a range of effective treatment and support available to people with common mental health problems such as depression and anxiety and extend this support to provide psychological intervention services to adults with an intellectual/learning disability who have concurrent common mental health problems.
 
The post holder will split their time between university attendance and working in service, conducting assessments, and providing face to face and remote Low Intensity Interventions.
Please note: It is a requirement of the role, that successful candidates seek BABCP accreditation within 6 months of relevant patient contact and qualifying.
 
 
About you
You will have experience of working with Mental Health and will be able to inspire and engage people and have the ability to identify barriers and understand client needs, while possessing excellent motivational skills.
 
You will have an understanding of working with people with a variety of complex needs, and experience of working with mental health, physical health, learning needs and substance misuse issues would be an advantage for this post. Your knowledge of working within a community-based service is essential and will have equipped you with the relevant communication and interpersonal skills required to build good therapeutic relationships with clients
 
You will be able to demonstrate high standards in written communication as well as excellent verbal communication including telephone skills. You will also be able to evaluate and put in place the skills and knowledge that you are provided as part of the training and development opportunities included in this role.
 
It is essential that you hold a health-related degree. Training in nursing, social work, occupational therapy or within a psychological therapy would be desirable.

  <p>We are recruiting for a Band 6 Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) as our YJS Senior Mental Health Practitioner.</p><p>The Youth Justice Service (YJS) is a multi-disciplinary team which works with children and young people aged 10 -17 years old who have offended and are made subject to a range of community and custodial disposals.</p><p>The YJS Senior Mental Health Practitioner will support children and young people by providing time-limited interventions, who are known to the YJS and are experiencing mental health and wellbeing difficulties, as part of an overall plan to reduce their risk of re-offending, harm to others and vulnerability.</p><p>This may include signposting or liaison with other service providers, and establishing exit strategies (via onward referral) to ensure ongoing support is available where it is deemed necessary. We operate a CT and MRI shift pattern involving evenings, weekends and overnight CT duties, whilst maintaining the opportunity to enhance earnings through overtime.</p> <p>Our Imaging department comprises of 4 new Siemens CT scanners that perform a diverse number of examinations on a weekly basis e.g. CT guided ablations, cardiac scans and colonography examinations. Additionally, we have 2 onsite 1.5T Siemens Sola MRI scanners and a 3T Siemens Vida as well as the exciting opportunity for training and rotation on a state of the art 1.5T Siemens Sola MRI scanner located at Broadgreen hospital.   <p>We are looking for an enthusiastic Psychological Therapist to join Greenwich ADAPT (Anxiety, Depression, Affective disorders, Personality disorders &amp; Trauma) a secondary care multidisciplinary service providing place-based care for people living in the Borough of Greenwich.</p> <p>You will have a passion for working in multidisciplinary teams supporting people with emotional regulation and interpersonal difficulties. We are particularly interested in candidates with interest, experience and/or training in mentalisation-based therapy (MBT) as the successful candidate will join our MBT team. Broader groupwork or group analytic skills are also welcome.</p> <p>You will join a dynamic and skilled Psychological Therapies Team comprised of psychologists, psychotherapists, cognitive behavioural therapists, art therapist, assistant psychologist, a Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioner, as well as trainees. The service offers a range of modalities including MBT (Mentalisation-based therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapist), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), art therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy and MBCT (Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy). The team also work closely with the wider MDT to provide Structured Clinical Management (SCM). New developments this year include the planned launch of a comprehensive Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) programme, and the service is acting as a site for a randomised controlled trial evaluating a trauma focused adaption of MBT.</p>
