<p>You will act as the Responsible Clinician / Consultant Psychiatrist for inpatients at the service. You will have CCT/specialist expertise in Learning Disability or Forensic psychiatry and experience of working with and leading multidisciplinary teams.&nbsp;</p>
<p>As the Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a key role in assessment, risk management, treatment planning, and timely discharge of service users, ensuring care is delivered in accordance with the Mental Health Act (MHA), relevant NICE guidance, and local and national standards.</p>
<p>Bradley Complex Care provides a specialist service for adults living with complex needs who may have a primary diagnosis of learning disability, mental illness or personality disorder. They may be detained under the Mental Health Act.</p>
<p>The environment is a unique element of the service at Bradley Complex Care. We provide care in a range of small, shared gender-specific or single person apartments. This allows the treatment and rehabilitation programme to be delivered in a domestic environment which replicates community living more closely. These settings also allow bespoke care to be delivered for the individual. Service users have established care pathways and are well supported by a full complement of multidisciplinary team.</p>
<p>You will be joining an established multidisciplinary team and wider network of Consultants in Elysium. The hospital has excellent transport links and is in close proximity to amenities in the region.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities of the Consultant Psychiatrist include:</strong></p>
<ul>
    <li>Ensure the adequate working of the Care Programme Approach (CPA) for patients.</li>
    <li>Work constructively with other multi-disciplinary professionals to ensure good patient care and throughput.</li>
    <li>If needed escalate to Regional Directors any clinical concerns, within the region. </li>
    <li>Provide clinical leadership to clinical teams including through effective teambuilding and facilitation.</li>
    <li>Contribute to the training, education and development of staff of all disciplines.</li>
    <li>Ensure medical and clinical voice is represented in hospital clinical governance meetings.</li>
    <li>Ensure effective and efficient delivery of quality medical services.</li>
    <li>Safe and appropriate implementation of Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act. </li>
    <li>Liaison with external agencies who are stakeholders in patient care.</li>

<p><strong>To be successful as an applicant you’ll need:</strong></p>

<p>Our Community First Responder (CFR) scheme is a life-saving partnership with local communities. As authorised volunteers CFRs form teams across Yorkshire to help reduce the number of pre-hospital deaths.</p><p>Our CFRs are trained to provide life-saving treatment to patients in the vital first few minutes of an emergency until our ambulance crew arrives. If effective treatment is provided quickly, lives can be saved and disability reduced. This is especially true for heart attacks and medical conditions which have caused someone to lose consciousness.</p><p>When a 999 call is received in our Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), an ambulance response is dispatched. At the same time, a CFR on-call in the area can be alerted and asked to attend the incident to ensure that help reaches the patient as quickly as possible.</p><p>As our volunteers are based within the community, they may only be a minute or two away from a medical emergency and very often their role is to simply provide vital reassurance to patients and their families until the ambulance crew arrives. However, in extreme cases, such as a cardiac arrest, they can perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) to try and restart someone’s heart, which can potentially save their life.</p><p>Anyone who wants to help their community can become a CFR.</p><p>No previous medical experience or training is necessary, but you will need a caring attitude and be able to cope with potentially distressing situations.</p><p>You need to:</p><ul><li>be aged 18 or over</li><li>hold a valid, full UK driving licence, with no more than three penalty points</li><li>have access to a vehicle</li><li>be prepared to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service Check</li><li>be prepared to undertake occupational health screening</li><li>be prepared to undertake our 4 day CFR course.   <p>Would you like to be part of a new, exciting and innovative service working with young people with an ethos of prevention and early intervention?</p> <p>In line with the government's priority to increase access and availability of mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people, the new Mental Health Support Teams (named by children and young people in the region as Wellbeing in Mind teams) are an exciting opportunity to deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people, working across both educational settings and healthcare sectors in England. We currently have 5 Wellbeing in Mind teams across North Yorkshire, which are embedded within education settings</p> <p>We are looking to recruit a new Education Mental Health Practitioner. The successful candidates will become part of a team delivering support to schools in the Selby area.</p> <p><strong>Applicants must have successfully completed the 1 year Post Graduate Certificate 'Education Mental Health Practitioner' course and be registered with either the BABCP or BPS.</strong></p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The Wellbeing in Mind team has 3 functions:</p> <ol>  <li>Support the development of a whole-school or college approach to wellbeing. This can include, but is not limited to, supporting sites to develop and implement mental health and wellbeing policies, development of resources, supporting campaigns and delivering training, assemblies and PHSE curriculum.</li>  <li>Provide timely advice and consultation to education staff. This is designed to support teaching staff to build their skills and confidence in supporting the wellbeing needs of their students/pupils. This is offered in both a formal and informal way.</li>  <li>Undertake direct assessments and intervention for young people within education. We offer a low intensity service model, predominantly using cognitive-behavioural therapy.</li> </ol> <p>Each function accounts for a third of the team's workload.</p> <p>Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.</p>
