  <ul>  <li>You will be offering art psychotherapy to patients on an individual and group basis to support the therapeutic environment on the ward and support patients to manage their distress and facilitate stabilisation.</li>  <li>You willas hold a consultation and leadership role in the ward, developing skills in assessment and practice within a group context.</li>  <li>You will have skills to intervene via a range of formats e.g. ward groups, staff consultation, families/carers and the MDT.</li> </ul>

  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a developmental Band 7-8a Clinical/Forensic Psychologist or experienced 8a Clinical/Forensic Psychologist developmental to join an established team of Clinical and Forensic Psychologists in the Secure Services at Brooklands Hospital. This is a full-time position primarily based within the autism low secure service, with some hours in the LD secure services.</p> <p>The secure service ethos is to help and support people who present considerable risk to others (as well as themselves) to return to a less restrictive environment and/or the community as soon as possible.</p> <p>The contribution of psychological services is highly valued within the teams and service management and is fully integrated within collaborative multi-disciplinary teams. Positive Behavioural Support is a key component of our treatment approach and philosophy and the successful candidate will work closely with others on developing new and existing service projects, develop new and existing group programmes and provide support in training others. There is lots of personal and service development opportunity within this role.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The successful candidate will ideally have post qualification experience of working with forensic populations and/or experience of working with people with intellectual disabilities and/or autism who present considerable risk to others. You will use your psychological skills and experience to provide assessments, individual and group therapies, team formulations, and reflective practice.</p> <p>You may also supervise others (qualified psychologists and non-psychologists) and be involved in training others, such as ward staff and multidisciplinary colleagues. Training others and contributing to and leading on service development projects and undertaking audit and research is an important part of this role.</p> <p>The psychology department at Brooklands is a well-established and supportive service and the successful applicant will receive support to further develop their skills and knowledge, through good quality supervision and training opportunities. The teamwork from a number of different therapeutic approaches including CBT, CAT, CFT, EMDR and Schema Therapy.   <p>We are recruiting to a <strong>Peer Support Worker role</strong> within the West Midlands Learning Disability and Autism Community Forensic Service.</p>

The role of Peer Support Worker has been developed specifically to ensure people with lived experience can inspire recovery and provide meaningful support.</p>

  <p>In partnership with Derby University, 4 successful candidates will be offered a full-time educational programme, funded at NHS Agenda for Change (AfC) Band 4 level, gaining credits towards a Post-Graduate Diploma qualification, plus employment on successful completion of training, with a starting salary projected to be on the NHS Band 5 scale. These posts will cover the Seisdon area and be based within Seisdon.</p>  <p>All applicants must demonstrate in their application the ability to work at degree level or have an equivalent level of relevant experience, with a proven record of previous learning or formal study in child development, wellbeing or mental health. Further to that experience of working with children and young people and an understanding of the educational system in England is highly desirable.</p> <p>The training programme for this post starts Jan 2026, is 12 months in duration and consists of academic and supervised practice learning across mental health services and educational settings, such as primary and secondary schools, Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) and further education colleges.</p> <p>Delivery of the programme will be provided through a combination of in-person learning, independent self-guided study days and experience gained in education wellbeing and mainstream mental health services.</p>  <p>You'll be trained to help children and young people manage common mental health problems, particularly mild to moderate symptoms of anxiety and depression.</p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>

Trainee Educational Mental Health Practitioner

<p>Working as part of a transdisciplinary team, you will provide formulation-led, person-centred care in our Neurobehavioral Rehabilitation service which provides care and treatment for adult males and females with acquired brain injury and challenging behaviour. </p>
<p>Supervising an Assistant Psychologist and working closely with clinicians from a range of disciplines, your specialist input will be key in achieving good patient outcomes. With the support of the team, you will administer neuropsychological and psychometric assessments that support the formulation of behavioural interventions seeking to manage challenging behaviour and enhance rehabilitation. </p>
<p>You will support therapeutic sessions by engaging in induvial and groupwork sessions, where appropriate, alongside other members of the team, and will assist in clinically relevant administrative duties, including developing and conducting audits, analysing and interpreting behavioural data, and developing and delivering staff training. In addition, you will join the senior management team and input into clinical governance, ensuring that the psychologically led model is both evaluated and effective. There are also opportunities to conduct research within the service. </p>
<p>You will be provided with supervision and support from the Clinical Directors and will be able to access a range of training opportunities to help both you and the service flourish. </p>
<p><strong>Your responsibilities will include:&nbsp;</strong></p>
<ul type="disc">
    <li>To take responsibility in leading and overseeing the specialised psychological assessment and therapy programme in operation at the service</li>
    <li>To supervise and manage other members of the Psychology profession employed within the service</li>
    <li>To provide specialist psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals contributing directly to resident’s formulation, diagnosis and treatment plan. To provide expertise, advice and support to facilitate the effective and appropriate provision of psychological treatments by other members of the transdisciplinary team.</li>
    <li>Contributing to other specialised assessments as required, including of risk and capacity, and to provide advice to other professions on psychological aspects of risk assessment and risk management.</li>
    <li>Actively engage in and contribute to appropriate local and national networks and with other stakeholders to raise the profile of Moorlands Neurological Centre and Elysium Neurological. </li>
    <li>In conjunction with the Clinical Directors, to ensure all non-medical therapeutic approaches are underpinned by the appropriate conceptual model, have an empirical evidence base, and that their effectiveness is measured.</li>
    <li>To routinely monitor service level clinical outcome measures to make certain that the service is a centre of clinical excellence, and where necessary identify areas for continual improvement in the quality of the therapeutic programme.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>To be successful in this role, you'll need</strong></p>
<ul type="disc">
    <li>To be registered as a Clinical Psychologist with HCPC registration.</li>
    <li>A BPS accredited and HCPC approved Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent.</li>
    <li>Chartered Member of the BPS.</li>
    <li>Enrolled on the BPS Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists or interested in working towards this, with support.</li>
    <li>Evidence of continued innovative practice through peer endorsement (journal papers, book chapters, speaker at national/international conference platforms).</li>
    <li>Management experience including leadership of teams.</li>
    <li>Evidence of engagement in ABI networks.</li>
