			<p>Join Emerald Place Clinic as a Consultant Child and Young People Psychiatrist and deliver, treat and empower young people to live a safe and independent life. </p>
<p>You will join our multidisciplinary team in a 12-bed General Adolescent Inpatient Unit. The unit provides care for young people aged 13 –18 experiencing acute mental health difficulties requiring inpatient treatment. You will play a key role in clinical leadership, risk management, and therapeutic planning, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed care.</p>
<p>As a CYPMHS Consultant Psychiatrist, you will deliver an evidence-based and focused treatment plan to support the children and young people, and their families, as they progress through their care plans to understand eating behaviours and restore physical health.&nbsp;</p>
<p>You will work alongside the talented and experienced multidisciplinary team to create tailored treatment programmes to support the individual needs of each young person within a warm and nurturing environment. This will allow you to understand symptoms, patterns and origins of psychological distress.&nbsp;</p>

The successful candidate will provide confidential counselling (within safeguarding guidelines)  to individual students and small groups, supporting their emotional wellbeing and helping them to overcome barriers to learning. This post is term time only role. Forensic Consultant Psychiatrist - Part time 

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>We are pleased to be recruiting a part-time 0.6 wte band 7 Specialist Psychologist/Psychological Therapist/Psychotherapist - trauma, providing CBT and trauma-focussed CBT to our adult service users in secondary care the majority of whom present with PTSD or complex PTSD. Other presentations include moderate-severe anxiety, depression and personality disorder presentations. With the Home Office in Croydon, the service often works with refugees and asylum seekers. The successful candidates will work alongside other members of a large, supportive and cohesive multi-orientation, psychological therapies team and closely with other professional colleagues in secondary care adult services. <strong>We are happy to receive applications from clinical/counselling psychologists who have completed training in 2025 but have yet to apply for HPC registration due to an outstanding viva.</strong></p>
<p>Development opportunities: The Trust provides access to a wide range of CPD opportunities and all staff are encouraged to undertake development opportunities and activities relevant to their post. The post holder will work very closely with the Kent NELFT Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Service who offer specialist DBT assessments and interventions to YP and their families who are referred.</p>  <p>The post holder will be part of the ward MDT as well as linking with the Intensive Home Treatment team to ensure a smooth pathway for CYP between inpatient and community flow. The post holder will facilitate the therapeutic component of the ward programme with the MDT to ensure the clinical model is delivered with senior members of the Psychological Professions team.</p>  <p>The postholder will join a thriving psychological professions team across comprehensive CAMHS (inpatient and community). CYP Clinical Psychologist

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>The post-holder will be a qualified fully registered HCPC Clinical or Counselling Psychologist with a passion for working in this area. As part of the QNIC recommended structure for inpatient CYP units, we are recruiting for these psychology posts into our Kent &amp; Medway Adolescent Hospital MDT. The post holder will work very closely with Children and Young People's Mental Health Services across inpatient and community in Kent NELFT, the Kent and Sussex provider collaborative and other stakeholders. The Kent NELFT DBT Service offers specialist DBT assessments and interventions to YP and their families who are referred. The postholder will take a lead in liaison with all CYPMHS services to ensure clear transitions for young people entering and leaving inpatient services; linking with the DBT Service and where appropriate supporting the transition to Adult Services. The post holder will be part of the delivery of a highly specialist therapeutic service to CYP in the unit. They will be part of the inpatient clinical team and take on a leadership role whilst being accountable to the Head of Service and Assistant Director for inpatient/home treatment and crisis services.</p>
