Remote ADHD Psychologist

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>We are seeking to recruit a full-time Band 8a Senior Applied Psychologist in Adult Community Mental Health (Planned Care) at Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BCHFT). You would join our community-based psychological therapies service for working age adults within secondary care services; you would work within our Community Mental Health Team in Dudley Northand potentially across the locality according to service need.</p>  <p>We would also welcome applications from newly qualified Psychologists who are seeking a Preceptorship post from Band 7 to 8a.</p>  <p>We are a combination of Practitioner Psychologists, CBT Therapists and DBT Therapists offering a range of group and individual therapies in line with recovery models of care and trauma-informed practice. There are opportunities to apply and develop your time-limited psychological skills in CBT, DBT, EMDR, ACT, CFT, CAT and brief psychodynamic therapy.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>We see clients with a range of complex mental health problems including CPTSD, personality disorders, psychosis, bipolar disorder, and moderate/severe presentations of depression and anxiety. We fully invest in the support and wellbeing of our staff. Staff have regular appropriate supervision, reflective practice and access to CPD to support professional growth.</p>  <p>We also provide opportunities in leadership, developing others, developing advanced therapeutic skills, and service/organisational development. </p> <p>As part of Community Transformation, psychological therapies are fully integrated into four Community Mental Health Teams across our four localities (Wolverhampton, Sandwell, Dudley and Walsall). We work within a strong multi-disciplinary ethos, with very good links with staff from Tier 1, our Recovery College and VCSE partners.</p> <p>The core CMHTs are supported by specialist services which also include psychological therapists: Complex Emotional Needs Service; Eating Disorders; Perinatal Services; 18-25s Transitions Team; Early Intervention in Psychosis; Clinical Health Psychology.</p>  <p>Whilst Operational managers provide our line management, we provide strong professional leadership, clinical supervision and support to all our psychological staff.   <p>The post holder will be an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team supporting adults and young people and will take a lead role within the service, using the wide range of their clinical psychology skills, including:</p> <p> Specialist clinical assessment &amp; formulation</p> <p> Person-centred interventions (individual / group)</p> <p> Support to staff from other disciplines to undertake psychological interventions</p> <p> Care planning using a Positive Behavioural Support approach</p> <p> Facilitating team reflective practice</p> <p> Supervision and training for members of the psychology team and other professions</p> <p>Psychological input is highly valued by the MDT and there is an emphasis on close working with colleagues from psychiatry, nursing, speech &amp; language therapy, occupational therapy, music therapy and teaching.</p> <p>The SATS and CAMHS Psychological Services team are part of a wider Psychological Services team on the Brooklands site, which is awell-established and supportive service. Successful applicants will receive good quality supervision and support to further develop their skills and knowledge. </p> <p>The service has strong links with local clinical psychology training courses and regularly provides placements for trainee clinical psychologists, supervision for research, and teaching on the local courses. There are also strong links with Community Learning Disability and Intensive Support teams across Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull. </p>
