  <p><strong>The Role and Person</strong></p><p>You will be responsible for delivering outcome based psychological therapy that is uniquely tailored to meet the needs of service users living in the region. You will supervise a number of assistant psychologist supporting them in a manualised treatment approach, whilst working with the wider team on more complex cases. You will be offered supervision from a consultant Psychologist working within our service, they will encourage you to develop your strengths and skills with opportunities for professional development. </p><p>The service is community based and appointments are offered where possible in the service users locality as well as remotely via telephone and video. As some travel will be required, a full drivers licence is essential or access to good public transport links. However, in return, you will also benefit from having the flexibility to work from home when appropriate to do so.</p><p>The successful applicant will join a highly motivated, supportive and friendly multi-disciplinary team, and will report directly to the Clinical Lead. The service is psychology-led and holds psychological assessment and formulation, as well as the service users we work with, at the core of everything it offers.</p><p>Experience of using a range of therapeutic modalities including CBT, EMDR and Compassion Focused Therapy would also be an advantage although support and development to gain these skills will be provided.</p>

<p>Are you an ambitious clinical psychologist looking for a new challenge, career development and a competitive salary?</p> <p>The Cambian Group, the UK's largest provider of specialist services in education, mental health rehabilitation, and learning disabilities, is looking for a dedicated, caring individual to join the company as a psychologist.</p> <p>Cambian Meeko House is a 12-bedded children's residential home catering for 12 - 18-year-olds with on-going mental health needs and challenging behaviours that may prevent them from functioning within the community without continued support. There is a school (Home Tree School) on site to support the educational needs of the young people.</p> <p>Job Role</p> <p>We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified Clinical Psychologists (NHS band 78a equivalent posts to join our team, and can offer a varied and rewarding work in a number of contexts - with an opportunity to help to continue to shape the service and make further improvement.</p> <p>We are keen to hear from qualified psychologists who are interested in working with children and young people with mental health problems, those who have experienced trauma and other adverse Childhood experiences, including Looked After Children. Ideally you will be confident to work independently as a Clinical Psychologist under supervision of a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and within a multidisciplinary team that includes Psychiatry, OT, Nursing, Teachers. You will be confident to supervise, train and oversee the work of others to improve psychologically informed practices within the home.</p> <p>The post is advertised for a maximum of 32 hours part time, flexible and week days only. The job role will include the followings:</p> <p>Providing a range of psychological interventions for children and young people using the latest evidence-based practices.Supervising assistant psychologists and psychology graduates (Therapeutic Practitioners) to provide psychological interventionsTo be responsible for assessments (including risk assessments), formulation and recommendations for psychological support.Formulation and delivery of care plans involving psychological treatment and management of cases.Training and guidance of support staff to provide psychologically informed practices across the home.To implement a range of evidence-based psychological interventions, making evaluations and decisions about treatment options, and monitoring outcomes to ensure effectiveness for your own caseload as well as supporting/supervising Assistant psychologist and other practitioners in relation to their caseload.To participate in making evidence-based recommendations to the multidisciplinary team regarding assessment, interventions and skills required to deliver the plan of care and expected health/social outcomes whilst also minimising risk.To provide clinical assessments and interventions in line with Cambian policies and procedures.To maintain adherence to NICE guidelines and best practice clinical standards.To attend and contribute to CMAP meeting, multi-disciplinary meetings and other professional reviews.To maintain accurate records of clinical input.To participate in regular clinical supervisionTo participate in service development initiatives</p> <p>The clinical psychologist will be part of a wider MDT and will have access to a Consultant Psychologist working in our sister site in Newmarket.</p> <p>Candidate Profile</p> <p>Person Specification</p> <p>Essential:</p> <p>Post graduate doctoral qualification in clinical or counselling psychology (or equivalent)HCPC registrationA working knowledge of child and adult safeguarding legislationExperience / knowledge of routine clinical outcomes monitoringExperience / knowledge of clinical risk assessmentAn excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skillsThe ability to use a computer competently, with a broad base of IT skillsThe ability to work on your own initiative and prioritise workloadStrong literacy and report writing skills, with excellent accuracy and attention to detailExperience of managing complex caseloads and applying a range of interventions</p> <p>Desirable:</p> <p>Experience of delivering specialist assessments in Autism, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, complex needs and/or challenging behavioursKnowledge of developmental trauma and in supporting families with children who are looked after/adopted</p> <p>To be successful in this role you will be excited by the Cambian vision and values and will relish an opportunity to make a difference.
