<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>To provide a qualified specialist psychological service to clients of the community mental health team; to provide specialist psychological assessment, psychological interventions and therapy; to provide supervision and consultation on client's psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non-professional carers; to work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the teams policies and procedures; to utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development, and research in line with service need; to undertake a personal research and development programme and contribute to a research culture in the clinical team.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>To provide high quality specialised psychological input to people/clients who fall within the acceptance criteria of the SHFT CMHT Community Mental Health Team</p><p>To provide specialist psychological assessment and treatment to people in this setting</p><p>A recovery focused approach is essential including working with others involved in clients care (e.g. family, professionals).</p><p>To offer advice, consultation and supervision on clients psychological care to other members of the multi-disciplinary team. To facilitate awareness of systemic factors involved in repeated crises for clients.</p><p>To contribute to audit, service development and research within the area served.</p><p>To provide teaching and training in line with the service needs identified.</p>
