			Join Emerald Place Clinic as a Consultant Child and Young People Psychiatrist and deliver, treat and empower young people to live a safe and independent life. 
You will join our multidisciplinary team in a 12-bed General Adolescent Inpatient Unit. The unit provides care for young people aged 13 –18 experiencing acute mental health difficulties requiring inpatient treatment. You will play a key role in clinical leadership, risk management, and therapeutic planning, ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed care.
As a CYPMHS Consultant Psychiatrist, you will deliver an evidence-based and focused treatment plan to support the children and young people, and their families, as they progress through their care plans to understand eating behaviours and restore physical health.&nbsp;
You will work alongside the talented and experienced multidisciplinary team to create tailored treatment programmes to support the individual needs of each young person within a warm and nurturing environment. This will allow you to understand symptoms, patterns and origins of psychological distress.&nbsp;
Team Structure

 <li>Multidisciplinary team includes: psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, family therapists, and education staff.</li>

As the Consultant Child and Young People Psychiatrist, your responsibilities will include:
Clinical Duties
<ul type="disc">
 <li>Provide psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and management of young people admitted to the unit.</li>
 <li>Lead on formulation and treatment planning in collaboration with the MDT.</li>
 <li>Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medication in line with NICE guidelines.</li>
 <li>Conduct regular ward rounds, CPA reviews, and Mental Health Act assessments.</li>
 <li>Liaise with families, carers, and external agencies including Case managers, community CYPMHS, social care, and education providers.</li>
 <li>Provide clinical leadership in managing complex cases and safeguarding concerns.</li>
</ul>
Leadership &amp; Governance
<ul type="disc">
 <li>Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.</li>
 <li>Participate in clinical governance, audit, and peer review activities.</li>
 <li>Support junior medical staff and contribute to teaching and supervision.</li>
 <li>Attend and contribute to management meetings and strategic planning.</li>

On-call Duties
Participate in the CYPMHS consultant on-call rota (frequency to be agreed)
To be successful in this role, you'll need

 <li>Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.</li>
 <li>Inclusion on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.</li>
 <li>Extensive experience in CYPMHS, including inpatient settings.</li>
 <li>Excellent communication, leadership, and team-working skills.</li>
 <li>Commitment to safeguarding and trauma-informed care.</li>
 <li>Experience in service development or research.</li>

Join the team at Farmfield Hospital in Charlwood, Surrey as a 0.6FTE&nbsp;Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist.&nbsp;
You will be providing strategic leadership and expert psychiatric leadership and clinical oversight within forensic mental health services, acting as Responsible Clinician under the Mental Health Act and delivering high-quality, recovery-focused care to individuals involved with the criminal justice system.
As a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist, you will take on RC responsibility for male service users on our medium secure wards. The RC will have the support of a non-consultant grade doctor as well as secretarial support.
Where you will be working:
Farmfield Hospital is a 64-bed secure unit with both MSU and LSU wards for male patients. The hospital is purpose built and run by the highly experienced Elysium Healthcare group. The hospital is in the beautiful county of Surrey and has excellent transport links to London and Brighton. Gatwick airport is practically next door!
Working with an established multi-professional team, you will deliver individualised care and have access to a large and supportive peer group of like-minded professionals.
Your responsibilities will include:
<ul>
 <li>Ensure the adequate working of the Care Programme Approach (CPA) for patients.</li>
 <li>Work constructively with other multi-disciplinary professionals to ensure good patient care and throughput.</li>
 <li>If needed escalate to the Medical Director or Regional Directors any concerns, in relation to the medical staff, within the region. </li>
 <li>Provide clinical leadership to clinical teams including through effective teambuilding and facilitation.</li>
 <li>Contribute to the training, education and development of staff of all disciplines, in particular medical staff.</li>
 <li>Professionally supervise and appraise medical staff as required.</li>

<h2>Job overview</h2>Alleyn's School, based in Dulwich, South London, are seeking a Counsellor to work as part of our pastoral team to provide one‑to‑one counselling to pupils across the both the Senior School and Junior Schools from January 2026. The successful candidate will have or be working towards appropriate accreditation with BACP, UKCP, APC, BAAT or similar, and hold or be working towards a post graduate qualification in Counselling or Psychotherapy.
