The Oak Cancer Centre (a new, state-of-the-art treatment and research facility) opened in 2023 in Sutton which will speed up the translation of world-leading research into breakthroughs in treatment and care, transforming the lives of cancer patients at The Royal Marsden and beyond.</p>
<p>The hospital has recently introduced the EPIC digital health record system and we are looking to use the full capabilities of this system to support the pharmacy teams and become a more efficient and truly paperless department</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post holder will undertake duties involved in the provision of the clinical trials service within the pharmacy department, operating within procedures and current legislation governing the management of clinical trials and pharmaceuticalsAll Clinical trials must be carried out in accordance with current UK Clinical Trial Regulations, the Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trials) regulation 2004 (EU Clinical Trial Directive) and all updates, together with ICH GCP guidelines and departmental procedures and ensure provision of a high-quality service to patients and staff at the Royal Marsden. As a member of the pharmacy clinical trials team you will be required to ensure that all of the relevant legislation and guidelines are adhered to at all times.</p>

You will join a friendly and supportive group of psychologists in the locality and there will be opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills through CPD. The trust has an enviable care pathways system which values Psychology, Psychotherapy and the Arts Psychotherapies. There are opportunities to train in DBT, CBT for psychosis, family interventions, CBT for personality disorders and structured clinical management.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p><strong>Variety:</strong> You will have the chance to work with a wide range of complex presentations including affective disorders, psychosis, and personality, and using a variety of methods and approaches. With assessments, individual therapies, group therapies, family interventions, MDT working, complex case meetings, indirect interventions using a Positive Behaviour Support framework, and supervision all part of the role, it's safe to say that no two days will feel the same! Many of our Psychologists in acute services find that the switching really helps to stay energised.</p>
<p><strong>Fast-paced:</strong> You will get to be reflexive; formulating problems, identifying with teams when attempted solutions create a new or different problem, and supporting teams to remove barriers to discharge and supporting people to have an independent and personally meaningful life outside of hospital. <p>The post holder will undertake screening , triage and in some cases full assessment of new referrals to the PCMHT. This will include urgent assessments of 17 year old or rising 18 year olds at crisis point and short and medium term care co-ordination.</p>

  <p>The department is based in two new eye units at both St Helier and Epsom Hospitals. It is a forward looking department with 13 consultants including 3 with an interest in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. There are close links with the Royal Marsden hospital and the St Georges Hospitals and we are part of the MDT team providing care for these oncology and neuro-surgical patients. The department also provides eye carefor children and young people at the Tadworth Children's Trust. The department is supported by 8 WTE orthoptists, 2 WTE optometrists and 6WTE technician staff. We provide in house contact lens service and low vision service. We have the benefit of state of the art ophthalmic imaging systems including Optos and OCT and FFA imaging which have allowed us to transform our pathways. This is a full time post which requires cross site working</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>We are looking for an experienced Orthoptist to join our Ophthalmology team and lead the Orthoptic and Optometry clinical service across Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. The post holder will be responsible for leading our team of orthoptists and for providing expert knowledge in the assessment of visual function and ocular motility disorders in all age groups, low vision services and stroke visual rehabilitation. They will manage our team of Optometrists and imaging technicians and be overall responsible for the ophthalmic imaging. The successful candidate will also provide a school vision screening service for the residents of Merton and support Ophthalmology clinical research. The post holder will ensure provision of and be accountable for, the delivery of an efficient, high quality and caring Orthoptic and Optometry clinical service across Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust, which meets service and client requirements and encompasses a wide range of specialist expertise and client groups.</p>

<p>Croydon Drop In (CDI) are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Qualified Volunteer Counsellor to work within our award-winning Voluntary Sector services. The post-holder will work within our safeguarding protocols to provide safe interventions for children and young people using evidence-based methodologies. The post holder will safely work with people across different cultural backgrounds and ages and will be committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.</p>
<p>Counselling is delivered by experienced qualified contracted counsellors, and our team is supported by qualified volunteer counsellors who wish to give back to the community, require a stepping stone to a paid counselling role or are independently working toward increasing their client contact hours or are working toward their accreditation.</p>

Qualified Volunteer Counsellor

<p>Croydon Drop In (CDI) are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Student Volunteer Counsellors on Placement to work within our award-winning Voluntary Sector services. The post-holder will work within our safeguarding protocols to provide safe interventions for children and young people using evidence-based methodologies. The post holder will safely work with people across different cultural backgrounds and ages and will be committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.<br>
Our team is supported by student practitioners completing their final year of their practitioner studies.</p>
<p><strong>Please note:</strong></p>
<p>Counselling training providers usually require you to obtain a certain amount of client contact hours with adults i.e. 18 years plus, therefore it’s important to note that the majority of clients accessing our CDI counselling services are under 18 years of age. As a student placement provider, CDI makes for an ideal 2nd placement that will ensure you have adequate young people contact hours, largely under 18 years of age, providing you with the learning experiences you need to meet the competency requirements of your training course and provider. It is important to check with your training provider, the cap on the number of under 18 years of age clients permitted for your course.</p>

<p>This is a one year fixed term contract.</p>
<p>Together we can change children’s lives. At Place2Be, we believe every child should have easy access to mental health support whenever they need it. We create a safe place in schools where children and young people can open up without pressure or stigma, allowing our highly skilled and diverse counsellors to reach children, young people and their families who need us.</p>
<p>A qualified therapist/ counsellor, you’ve been working in the profession for at least a year, and now it’s time to take the next step.&nbsp; As a Place2Be Supervising Counsellor&nbsp;your main focus is assessment and formulation of referrals and supporting and overseeing the work of the Counsellors on Placement enabling them to deliver interventions across all year groups and achieve the best outcomes for the young people we support. You’ll still deliver some therapeutic work with children yourself, including some group/whole class work, but ultimately, you’ll be shaping clinical delivery of services within the school you operate. </p>
