 Working within Saint Mary's Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) you will provide administrative and secretarial support to the Counselling team within the SARC Directorate. The post holder will work collaboratively within the multi-disciplinary teams at SARC. The post holder will be highly organised and experienced in making direct calls to patients/vulnerable adults.



 <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
 Booking in counselling appointments and managing counsellor diaries. Liaising with clients about their initial assessment appointments. Co-ordination of group interventions and triaging clients for group. Provide trauma-informed emotional support to clients accessing the SARC, both over the phone and in writing. Carry out initial needs and risk assessments, ensuring safeguarding concerns are identified and responded to appropriately. Triaging and reviewing suitability of referrals. Provide clear information about client's options including pre-trial therapy. Facilitate onward referrals to specialist Counselling, mental health, and community services. Develop and maintain records (written or digital) accurately in line with data protection and organisational policies. Work collaboratively with the wider SARC team and key partner agencies. Adhere to the centre's policies including confidentiality. Work in accordance with the centre's management system and processes. Distribution of educational resources. As an organisation that has adopted the BACP ethical framework of good practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, counsellors working within the organisation are dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of the children they work with.<ul><li>Place2Be provides a high level of support to counsellors on placement through regular supervision, tailored training workshops and offers a well-recognised clinical placement .</li><li>We provide a comprehensive induction programme and clinical supervision is undertaken at the end of each day.</li><li>We need you to be available for a minimum of one day per week to work in a therapeutic capacity with up to 3 children offering one-to-one counselling.</li><li>Placements are term time only and run for one academic year.
