Perinatal Clinical Therapist/Psychologist

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>Here in Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland (LLR), we are innovatively transforming ways of working with people with relational and emotional difficulties often described diagnostically as Personality Disorder.</p><p>As part of this, we are keen for another Principal Psychologist to join us in our secondary care psychologically-led dedicated provisionas a Clinical Lead.

The service has over 30 staff, including Psychologists, a Medical Psychotherapist, Peer Support Workers, and Mental Health Practitioners. We offer a range of psychological and psychologically-informed approaches within the tradition of trauma-informed care, including Mentalization-Based Therapy, Cognitive Analytic Therapy, and a structured clinical management approach.</p><p>We would be very keen to hear from applicants with an interest and training in any of these approaches.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>We are very pleased to be able to offer this new role to further enhance our services clinical leadership. The role will offer an exciting opportunity to be part of a multi-disciplinary leadership team leading the ongoing transformation of the service. You will work alongside the Consultant Clinical Lead, other Clinical Leads, and Team Managers to lead this change; offering an exciting opportunity to enhance your strategic and clinical leadership skills.</p><p>With this new role, we aim not only to strengthen the delivery of our current offers, but we have a future aspiration to also expand their scope.

You will take a key clinical leadership role in the service alongside other Clinical Leads. You will be responsible for leading the implementation and delivery of psychological interventions, supported by the Consultant Psychologist Lead, who will offer professional, managerial, and clinical supervision.</p><p>The role will offer a variety of opportunities which will include clinical leadership, direct formulation and intervention, delivering training, service development, group and 1:1 clinical supervision and consultation to others, and service evaluation. There will be opportunities to shape the role and for continued professional development in areas relevant to service delivery and development.

  <p>An exciting opportunity for a permanent post has arisen within NHFT to deliver integrated healthcare within HMP Lowdham Grange . The successful candidate will have prior experience working as an Assistant Psychologist.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post holder will be working as a member of the mental health team to provide psychological interventions for a wide range of mental health challenges, including the delivery of psychoeducational groups and one to one work, as well as working with neurodiverse residents. The ability to employ CBT for common mental health challenges is essential but the post holder will also make use of other psychological approaches as necessary to ensure that the most suitable person-centred care is provided.</p>

Lead Clinician

Job Introduction <p><strong> Chartered Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist - Mental Health Treatment Requirement, Leicester, Leicestershire &amp; Rutland (LLR) 22.5h per week </strong></p> <p><strong> Maternity cover - 12 months fixed term contract from January 2026 </strong></p> <p> At Turning Point, we are recognised leaders in helping people recover from addiction and gain control of their lives. By providing the right support at the right time, and making sure that people can find all the help they need through a single point of contact, we have grown into one of the largest providers of substance misuse services in England and Wales. Right now, we are now looking for a talented Chartered Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist to ensure the effective management, development and delivery of all psycho-social interventions within newly formed MHTR team based within our substance misuse services in LLR. </p> <p> This newly established Primary Mental Health Treatment Requirement service offers an opportunity to people in the criminal justice system to be offered psycho-social interventions as an alternative to custodial sentences. It is one of a national network of MHTRs which are psychology-led. Turning Point MHTR services emphasize a bespoke approach to each client, drawing on a number of evidence-based interventions to plan treatment programmes for each client.
