  <p>We would like to present an exciting opportunity for a Band 4 Assistant Psychologist to join a dynamic and expanding team supporting people with symptoms of mild to moderate personality disorder across Northumberland and North Tyneside. This post is a full time permanent opportunity working within the H.O.P.E team; a psychology led service which has been co-developed alongside people with lived experience of mental health services. </p> <p>Based in Blyth, the successful candidate will work alongside experienced clinicians to co-facilitate therapeutic groups (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) through a combination of video calls and face-to-face appointments across community venues in Northumberland and North Tyneside.</p> <p>The successful candidate will be well supported and supervised by our Consultant Psychologist, and will work alongside an experienced and committed team of clinicians and peer support workers<strong>.</strong></p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Under supervision the postholder will support with the delivery of group intervention and also provide one to one support to service users. You will receive regular supervision and the chance to engage in ongoing continuing professional development.</p>  <p>You will work as part of an MDT, alongside a variety of other professionals including a family therapist and consultant clinical psychologist. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic and motivated to make a difference to the lives of people who struggle with emotional and relational problems, often underpinned by trauma.</p>  <p>This post will have a strong clinical role along with service development and evaluation projects. You will support with the delivery of training, assist with psychological assessments and score, interpret and summarise psychometric data.</p>    <h3>About us</h3>

  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a <strong>Senior Clinical or Counselling Psychologist or Senior Psychological Therapist</strong> to work within the Acute Inpatient Psychological Services team at St George's Park hospital, Morpeth.</p> <p>The Acute Inpatient Service at St George's Park consists of two male wards and one female ward of 19 beds each.</p> <p>Within inpatient services, we hold the value of being creative and very much welcome new and improved processes and ideas. The service has a strong commitment to CPD and professional development, and we want to nurture each clinician in their career longer term.</p> <p>You will be joining the Psychological Services Inpatient team who work across Acute, Rehabilitation and Older Adult inpatient wards. Our team is made up of Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, Psychological Therapists, Art Psychotherapists and Assistant Psychologists. We also have a therapy dog in the service. We are a friendly, inclusive and diverse group of practitioners who bring a range of interests, experience and skills to the work we do. The Psychology team is well embedded into the respective wards within each pathway but are also located together in terms of office space at St George's Park which means that we maintain strong working relationships with each other across pathways as well.</p>  <p>We welcome informal conversations about the post.</p>   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post-holder will have the opportunity to:</p>  <p> Provide specialist psychological assessments (including neuropsychological assessment) and interventions with service users experiencing a broad range of mental health problems.</p> <p> Facilitate team supervision/ reflective practice and debriefs.</p> <p> Utilise research skills to design and conduct evaluations of the service. It is anticipated that these will lead to peer-reviewed publications.</p> <p> Design and deliver training to ward-based staff and MDT colleagues specifically relevant to their needs.</p> <p> Provide supervision to and support to MDT staff and a Higher Assistant Psychologist.</p>
