  <p>Bexley MHST seeks to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic individual who are passionate about mental health support in schools, with a demonstrable track record of MHST clinical experience. This is a fixed term contract to cover the existing staff member's annual leave.</p> <p>This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified SWP, who has at least two year's post qualification experience as an EMHP, to build their experience as a Senior Wellbeing Practitioner (SWP) within a highly supportive, creative and dynamic team with the Bexley Mental Health Support Team.</p>

<p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to work in the Therapies Team at our new Adult Acute Inpatient Wards, Silverwood.</p>
<p>The post offers a diverse range of experience working with people with complex mental health difficulties. You will join a friendly and supportive group of psychologists in the locality and there will be opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills through CPD. The trust has an enviable care pathways system which values Psychology, Psychotherapy and the Arts Psychotherapies. There are opportunities to train in DBT, CBT for psychosis, family interventions, CBT for personality disorders and structured clinical management.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p><strong>Variety:</strong> You will have the chance to work with a wide range of complex presentations including affective disorders, psychosis, and personality, and using a variety of methods and approaches. With assessments, individual therapies, group therapies, family interventions, MDT working, complex case meetings, indirect interventions using a Positive Behaviour Support framework, and supervision all part of the role, it's safe to say that no two days will feel the same! Many of our Psychologists in acute services find that the switching really helps to stay energised.</p>
<p><strong>Fast-paced:</strong> You will get to be reflexive; formulating problems, identifying with teams when attempted solutions create a new or different problem, and supporting teams to remove barriers to discharge and supporting people to have an independent and personally meaningful life outside of hospital. Expect your day to fly by!</p>
<p><strong>Autonomy:</strong> Acute Inpatient Psychologists can personalise and tailor the role of Psychology for their wards.</p>
<p><strong>Leadership:</strong> You will be able to develop the role of Psychology and influence the direction of the wider team in an environment designed for recovery and safety. Psychology's expertise are really valued for differential formulations, reducing restrictive practices, and delivering trauma-informed and Psychologically-informed care.</p>

  <p>The Hive is a mental health and wellbeing service designed for and created by young people. We support young people aged 16 to 24 in Camden who need support transitioning between children's and adult mental health services. The service is led by Catch 22 (see below) but provided jointly by Catch 22, The Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust and Camden and Islington Mental Health Trust. The Hive's one stop shop model offers, </p>  <p> A social hub drop-in with a range of activities and workshops available Monday to Friday</p> <p> 1:1 mental health and emotional wellbeing support</p> <p> A free sexual health drop-in clinic(for anyone aged 13-24)</p> <p> Employment, apprenticeships and career development</p> <p>Signpostingto external services and providers</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The post holder will hold a complex caseload, undertaking a range of clinical assessments and offering highly skilled treatments or therapies that are outcome focused and evidence based, using appropriate therapeutic modalities. You will review cases where patients have impasses, complaints or disputes with their clinical care.</p> <p>You will provide consultation to external agencies such as GPs/schools/Local authorities and expert consultation and specialist psychological advice to other staff and agencies outside the Trust.</p> <p>The post holder will communicate complex information in a highly skilled and sensitive manner, at times dealing with service users who may be hostile or present challenging behaviours.</p>
