If you’re an Associate Specialist looking for a fixed term post (maternity cover) in an established setting, then come and work at Gateway Recovery Centre in Widnes.

Gateway Recovery Centre is situated in Widnes, close to Liverpool, Manchester, Chester and surrounding areas. There are excellent transport links, which allows the town to be reachable for those travelling across the North West.

This role is full time and will be set within a well-established service.&nbsp;Gateway Recovery Centre has 70 beds spread across 6 wards. 3 wards constitute the female service providing high quality care to women with complex emotional needs including history of trauma. The other 3 wards provide care to male patients in an autism specialist unit (Cedar ward), low secure ward (Dove ward) and a ward for older men with complex mental health needs and physical health comorbidities (Ash Ward).
There are currently four consultants within the service to support you, and you will have a dedicated supervisor. You will be supported by a physical health team composed of a practice nurse, physical health assistance practitioner and an enhanced GP service.
There is a one in seven first on-call commitment attached to the role.&nbsp;
There is peer support as you will join a network of associate specialists working across the northwest region. There is a well-received&nbsp;programme of regional weekly CPD education to meet your needs.&nbsp;&nbsp; Attendance at external CPD events such as conferences is actively supported.&nbsp; We will also support you with any desire to work towards Section 12 approval. There are opportunities to network with other Associate Specialists working within Elysium Healthcare.&nbsp;
Your responsibilities will include:

Eating Disorder Psychiatrist

If you’re an Associate Specialist looking for a new opportunity to join a friendly multidisciplinary team in an established secure service setting delivering&nbsp;high-quality clinical service to people with complex mental health conditions across the medium and low secure service.
Working part time 18.75 hours a week alongside the unit's multidisciplinary team, including the Consultant, to ensure that service users receive a holistic and person-centric treatment programme based on the recovery model.

As an Associate Specialist, you will ensure the high quality first-line medical care of our inpatients, liaise effectively with external professionals and carers, provide written and oral evidence for Hospital Managers’ and Tribunal hearings, work towards safe discharges including preparing discharge summaries, reports and other necessary documentation and be a valued and effective member of the multidisciplinary team at Thornford Park Hospital
This established service looks to continually innovate, improve and deliver excellent care for its service users, has an active programme of education and research and provides significant developmental opportunities for its staff.
There are currently four other Associate Specialists working in the service. There is no formal on-call commitment attached to the role, but there are opportunities to join the on-call rota through a locum agency which provides on-call services for the hospital.

Forensic or General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist

Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist with experience working with people in inpatient settings who may be treated under the Mental Health Act provisions? Are you interested / experienced in providing treatment for women who may have suffered trauma and are affected by mental disorders? If so, then join the team at Spring Wood Lodge hospital!
This permanent Consultant Psychiatrist position (37.5 hours per week) will see you join the established multidisciplinary team at Spring Wood Lodge. The service has 21 beds across two wards in a locked rehabilitation setting providing treatment for women with mental disorders including personality disorders. The wards are well supported by a full complement of multidisciplinary team.&nbsp;
You will act as a Consultant / Responsible Clinician for patients in this setting. You will have CCT in General Adult or Forensic psychiatry and experience of working with and leading multidisciplinary teams.&nbsp; You will be part of an environment that specialises in providing rehabilitation utilising positive behavioural support principles and empowering service users in their recovery.&nbsp;
Spring Wood Lodge is located in the outskirts of Leeds at Guiseley and has close links to NHS services with established care pathways. It has excellent transport links to Bradford, Leeds and is within a short distance of Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Your responsibilities will include:

 <li>Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews and the development of a therapeutic milieu.</li>

Join Ty Glyn Ebbw, in Ebbw Vale, a specialist Inpatient Eating Disorder service for Women. You will be working as part of a wide MDT providing evidence-based and focused treatment programmes designed for the individual.
You will have experience in General Adult settings and have experience of working in a multidisciplinary team.&nbsp; You will also have experience of working within acute inpatient or community settings, ideally inpatient settings and have experience in risk assessment and risk management.

As an Associate Specialist, you will ensure the high quality first-line medical care of our inpatients, liaise effectively with external professionals and carers, provide written and oral evidence for Hospital Managers’ and Tribunal hearings. You will work towards safe discharges including preparing discharge summaries, reports and other necessary documentation and be a valued and effective member of the multidisciplinary team at Wellesley Hospital.&nbsp;

As an Associate Specialist, you will be:

 <li>Undertaking psychiatric and external assessments for clients referred to the unit to determine the appropriate level of care to be provided, under the direction and supervision of the Consultant Psychiatrist, and work with the unit multi-disciplinary team to ensure delivery of the Care Programme.</li>

This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside another full-time Consultant Psychiatrist and two Associate Specialists, within a 36-bed inpatient service. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team including Nursing, OT, Psychology, and Social Work, supporting patients with the help of an Associate Specialist doctor.
While primarily responsible for delivering a quality clinical service, you will also be expected to be actively involved in the strategic development of the team and broader services, being involved with the ward manager and senior management team in helping to steer the development of the service in line with the strategic direction of the hospital and Elysium.
