  <p>This key Band 7 clinical role is offered at full time, although we would also welcome applicants seeking part-time positions. You need to be a BABCP accredited cognitive behavioural psychotherapist, either with demonstrable skills in working with the CYP client group, or an ability to transfer across from adult work. We would particularly welcome applicants from minoritized backgrounds and those that actively demonstrate an interest in increasing young peoples' participation in shaping CAMHS delivery.</p> <p>Our team has strong links to universities and researchers. A key advantage of working in secondary care is the chance to work alongside and learn from highly specialist nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists and psychotherapists. Within Sussex CAMHS we have a strong psychology and CBT team. You will be well-supported with training and CPD, and opportunities for career development.</p> <p>We operate a pathways model and you would hold some clinical lead responsibilities within these, including decision-making around treatment options. We would expect the therapist to be conversant with IAPT principles, and practiced in using ROMS and disorder specific outcome measures as part of evaluation and of their work, as well as part of ongoing team audit. It would also be helpful if the therapist has demonstrated experience of offering training and consultation to other professionals within and outside the team as necessary. </p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>As a member of the CAMHS team, you would participate in the core multi-disciplinary assessment and intervention work of the team, and engage in multi-agency liaison work as necessary. You would also be required to participate in the supervision, training and the overall governance requirements of SPFT CAMHS.</p> <p>You'd part of a very busy but lively and welcoming CAMHS team, which offers a wide range of individual, group and systemic interventions, and is involved in a number of innovative evaluation and research projects and service developments. As such, you would be encouraged to develop your skills, ideas and interests to further your expertise and that of the team, in accordance with service needs.</p>

CYPMHS Psychiatrist Part Time

			<p>Are you a skilled and motivated psychologist looking to take the next step in your career? If so, there is an exciting opportunity to join an established multidisciplinary team in Hove as an Inpatient Psychologist. The Brighton and Hove Clinic is a specialist inpatient eating disorder unit for children and adolescents.</p>
<p>Reporting directly to the consultant clinical psychologist, you will be responsible for the delivery of evidence-based individual and group interventions, facilitation of formulation meetings and supervision of other members of the psychology team. You will form part of a diverse multi-disciplinary team, with opportunities for joint working, family liaison and systemic interventions. You may also be involved in the facilitation of staff reflective practice sessions; nursing team debriefs and the design and delivery of training to the multi-disciplinary team.</p>
<p>As a psychologist, you will have experience and knowledge in carrying a therapy caseload, including assessing complex needs and designing and delivering specialist psychological treatments to support individualised patient care plans.</p>

<p><strong>As an Inpatient Psychologist you will be:</strong></p>
<ul>
    <li>Providing specialist psychological assessments, and individualised evidence-based psychological interventions for patients with severe eating disorders and complex mental health difficulties.</li>
    <li>Providing evidence-based and formulation-driven psychological perspectives to multidisciplinary risk management, care planning and decision-making.</li>
    <li>Managing a complex caseload as an individual psychological therapist working within a multidisciplinary team, in addition to facilitating group psychological interventions and family/systemic interventions.</li>
    <li>Monitoring clinical progress through regular reviews of psychological treatment.</li>
    <li>Support the collection, analysis and interpretation of standardised outcome measures and patient and family care and experience surveys, to inform clinical decision making and service improvement initiatives.</li>
    <li>Providing high-quality clinical supervision to junior members of the psychology team.</li>
    <li>Supporting staff development through the provision of training, consultation, formulation meetings and reflective practice sessions.</li>
    <li>Contributing to service developments within the therapies team and wider service.</li>
    <li>Receiving regular supervision and line management from the Regional Therapies Lead/Consultant Clinical Psychologist.</li>
    <li>Being professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of clinical work and care.</li>
    <li>Maintaining high standards of care in all areas of practice and in accordance the HCPC Code of Conduct, professional guidelines and Company Policies and Procedures.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>To be successful in this role, you’ll need:</strong></p>
<ul>
    <li>Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology (or equivalent if trained overseas).</li>
    <li>Registration with the HCPC as a practitioner psychologist.</li>
    <li>We will also consider applicants from newly qualified clinical/counselling psychologists, or from those who are about to qualify (please clearly state in the application when you will receive HCPC registration).</li>
    <li>Knowledge and understanding of eating disorders and related comorbidities (e.g. anxiety, trauma, depression, self-harm), and the impact these on both children and adolescents, and their families.</li>
    <li>Prior experience in eating disorders is desirable but not essential for this position. Experience working with patients in CAMHS settings or with neurodivergence, trauma and personality disorders is also desirable.</li>
    <li>Post qualification training in the specialist application of therapeutic models relevant for working with children and adolescents with eating disorders and other comorbidities (or for newly qualified psychologists an interest in undertaking further specialist training).</li>
    <li>Experience of supervising assistant psychologist or trainee clinical psychologists.</li>
    <li>Experience of exercising full clinical responsibility for patient’s psychological care and treatment as a qualified professional within the context of a multidisciplinary care plan.</li>
</ul>

<p>Brighton &amp; Hove Clinic provides a CAMHS Tier 4 eating disorder service for young people aged 12 to 18 years with a primary diagnosis of an eating disorder: or those with eating difficulties with other co-occurring conditions such as depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder and self-harming behaviours. Our patients can also present with co-morbid attachment difficulties, ASC (both diagnosed and undiagnosed) and with emotion regulation difficulties. We provide individualised and formulation driven treatment programmes to support children and adolescents to begin their recovery and transition safely back into the community. Interventions include individual therapy, systemic family therapy, occupational therapy, therapeutic and activity groups, meal support sessions and a psychoeducational family support group.</p>
<p>The role is an exciting opportunity to join an established and passionate psychology team (made up of a Consultant clinical psychologist, Highly specialist cognitive-behaviour therapist, Apprentice clinical associate psychologist and Assistant psychologist), whilst also contributing to the development of an individualised and patient-centred service committed to improving clinical practice and effectiveness. The successful candidate will also join a network of eating disorder therapists working across Elysium providing access to CPD, training and peer supervision.</p>
