This is a dynamic role that has seen significant demand in line with the national trend. Resources are available when required to grow the service in line with any capacity restraints. Our Adult Autism Pathway is well-established, and our team is committed to ensuring the individuals and families have the very best outcomes. Our CYP Right to Choose Pathway is a newly established pathway within Hereford &amp; Worcestershire. TFP are working with partners and stakeholders to continue to develop a Right to Choose service that these young people and their families can rely on. We are committed to ensuring the young person's futures will not be prohibited or restricted by their neurodiverse traits, and are passionate about promoting a neuro-affirming community. You will be a qualified Clinical Psychologist with a passion for working with neurodiverse individuals and their families at all ages. You will have strong clinical skills, bringing a compassionate and supportive approach to join others in the team. You will have the knowledge and skills in neurodiversity and mental health to undertake assessments and deliver evidence-based outcomes, as well as supporting others in this work. In this role you will be supported by our Autism and ADHD leads, our Interventions and Safeguarding leads as well as the overarching support from our Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Managing Director. You will understand the importance of collaborative working with the individual and extended family including carers and schools to ensure the right clinical decision is made for the individual. To ensure this is achieved you will liaise with our Interventions and Safeguarding leads where appropriate to ensure a trauma-informed approach is at the centre of everything we do. You will be a reflective practitioner with strengths to bring to a multi-disciplinary team. You will have skills and knowledge to support team members through supervision and MDT meetings. Our multidisciplinary team includes Assistant Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Teachers, Social Workers and Mental Health Practitioners/Nurses from a diverse range of backgrounds. This provides an opportunity to work in a team with a strong multidisciplinary ethos as well as collaborating with colleagues in other divisions and working in partnership with other agencies. The service will provide person-centred, recovery-focussed support to promote independence, tenancy sustainment and positive risk management. You will ensure that service users are enabled to make progress in their personal recovery journey and to attain goals relating to their mental health &amp; wellbeing, independence and quality of life. You will support individuals to move into their new homes and to become as independent as possible in managing their tenancies and all areas of daily living. You will provide psychological and practical support to enable people to grow in self-esteem and confidence. You will empower people to make informed choices and to enjoy a fulfilling life by developing supportive relationships with others, make community connections and access meaningful activities. You will work closely and effectively with all members of the individual's support network, including their families, social workers, NHS professionals and voluntary agencies. You must be able to build warm and trusting relationships with individuals, based on respect and unconditional positive regard. You will need to have good verbal and written communication skills and be confident in liaising with external agencies. You must be able to work in a work in a reliable and accountable manner and have the ability to carry out the role of Key Worker, contributing to needs/risk assessment and the development of person-centred support plans. You must be able to demonstrate an understanding of mental health needs and the challenges experienced by people who may have experienced trauma and adverse life events. A relevant qualification (such as a Health &amp; Social Care Diploma or degree in psychology) would also be desirable. Your work base will be the supported living service which is located close to Redditch town centre and comprises of 14 well designed, self-contained one bed apartments, with a communal lounge and on-site staff office. This role will require you to work shifts on a 7 day rota, which will include evenings, weekends. And bank holidays. You may be required to undertake additional sleep-in duties on the premises for which a generous additional payment is made. Part-time hours will be considered subject to a minimum of 15 hours per week. The service treats patients with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, and mental health diagnosis such as anxiety, depression, OCD, and some may have a co-morbid diagnosis of learning disabilities. The hospital is Ofsted registered and provides education facilities for patients who are still studying. Patients on average stay for a period of 3-4 months. The aim is to restore a healthy weight, modify problem behaviours linked to the eating disorder and help parents and carers work with the young person. Brook House was recently opened and is situated just a few doors down. This is a satellite centre and supports residents. We are not currently recruiting into this service.
