We are looking for a full time Associate Specialist doctor (non-consultant grade) to work in our Medium (MSU) and Low secure (LSU) Forensic Mental Health Services.
Farmfield Hospital is a purpose-built secure hospital which comprises of four MSU ward and two LSU wards for male service users. The hospital is centrally located with excellent transport links to London and Brighton.
Applications are invited for an experienced full-time Associate Specialist doctor to provide medical support to the consultant, and to function as an active member of the multi-disciplinary team. Secretarial support is provided.&nbsp;
The successful candidate will require excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to build effective relationships with service users, colleagues and other professionals. Good IT skills are essential.

Your responsibilities will include:

 <li>Assessment of service users and formulating appropriate management plans within your level of expertise</li>
 <li>Ensuring an adequate handover to colleagues including out of hours.</li>
 <li>Ensuring that each patient has a full physical health screen upon admission including physical examination, ECG and bloods</li>

 <li>Preparing First-tier Tribunal and Hospital Managers' hearing reports under the supervision of a Consultant Psychiatrist.</li>
 <li>Depending on your experience, providing oral evidence at First-tier Tribunal and Hospital Managers' hearings under the supervision of the Consultant.</li>
 <li>Chairing ward round and CPA meetings in the absence of the Consultant</li>
 <li>Contributing to the service development by participating in Clinical Governance activities by conducting audits, research and teaching.</li>
 <li>Work effectively with colleagues to ensure that patients have access to appropriate medical cover at all times.</li>
 <li>Providing prospective cover to other AS doctors when they are on leave.</li>

You will join our multidisciplinary team in a 12-bed General Adolescent Inpatient Unit. The unit provides care for young people aged 13 –18 experiencing acute mental health difficulties requiring inpatient treatment. As a CYPMHS Consultant Psychiatrist, you will deliver an evidence-based and focused treatment plan to support the children and young people, and their families, as they progress through their care plans to understand eating behaviours and restore physical health.&nbsp;
You will work alongside the talented and experienced multidisciplinary team to create tailored treatment programmes to support the individual needs of each young person within a warm and nurturing environment. They will be based and cover assessments in the South region as part of a nationwide teamWe are looking for an&nbsp;Occupational Therapist&nbsp;who is passionate about the assessment of individuals with acute, chronic and complex health presentations to support their return to work or keep them in work.
