Are you an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist looking for a&nbsp;full time opportunity&nbsp;to be part of a supportive and experienced team providing Eating Disorder inpatient treatment for women?
Join Ty Glyn Ebbw, in Ebbw Vale, a specialist Inpatient Eating Disorder service for Women. You will be working as part of a wide MDT providing evidence-based and focused treatment programmes designed for the individual.
You will have experience in General Adult settings and have experience of working in a multidisciplinary team.&nbsp; You will also have experience of working within acute inpatient or community settings, ideally inpatient settings and have experience in risk assessment and risk management.

As an Eating Disorder Psychiatrist, you will:&nbsp;

 <li>Manage a case load as RC of the ward.</li>
 <li>Participate in the assessment and management of those referred to the Service.&nbsp;</li>
 <li>Assess physical health and document finding within Care notes and weekly ICR meetings.</li>
 <li>Ensure completion of professional reports as per timeline such as ICRs/CPA/Tribunals.</li>
 <li>Act as Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act.&nbsp;</li>
 <li>Provide leadership, supervision, reflection, and risk management to the key workers on the team.</li>
 <li>Participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists</li>
 <li>Uphold the principles of Clinical Governance and adhere to the organisation’s clinical governance requirements.</li>
 <li>Take part in an Annual Appraisal Programme, with the development of Personal Development Plans, focused on Continuing Professional Development.</li>
 <li>Adhere to all the organisations policies and procedures.</li>
</ul>
To be successful in this role, you'll need:

 <li>Full GMC registration with licence to practice</li>
 <li>MRCPsych or MRCPsych equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists</li>

 <li>To hold Section 12(2) approval to work in Wales and Approved clinician status.

I keep myself busy with activities during the week and now I would like some support to do more fun things at the weekend. This could be going shopping into Cardiff, the cinema or eating out. This will improve my confidence and increase my independence. I have some physical difficulties which means that I use crutches, and wear splints on both legs for stability and support. I go to the gym twice a week, following a programme designed by a physiotherapist to maintain my mobility. I can tire easily but may not always recognise this and therefore need someone to help me monitor this. I sometimes struggle in social situations and have some memory difficulties so will need some support with these. I would like my Support Worker to be friendly, patient and reliable, to encourage and support me to access opportunities, whilst working closely with my Case Manager.
