As a Senior Clinical/Forensic Psychologist you will be:

Thornford Park Hospital, part of Elysium Healthcare, is an independent 143 bedded hospital set in 23 acres of parkland on the outskirts of Newbury, Berkshire (close to the Hampshire borders).
We provide services for male and female patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983) who require care in conditions of medium and low security. Our service users, many of whom have forensic histories, require long-term treatment and rehabilitation and present with multiple problems, challenging and high-risk behaviour and complex care needs. In addition to the mental health wards, Thornford Park has a 14-bedded low secure service for male patients with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, commissioned by NHS England, a medium/low secure service for females with a Learning Disability, and a medium secure service for males with Learning Disability. We also have two Psychiatric Intensive Care Units, one for males and one for females, providing holistic assessment and treatment for individuals experiencing crisis.

Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP)- HMP The MountLocation: HertfordshireSalary: £29,970 per annumVacancy Type: Full Time, PermanentClosing Date: 10 Nov 2025About the RoleWe are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) to join our team supporting adults experiencing common mental health difficulties such as anxiety and depression.As a PWP, you will play a key role in assessing service users' suitability for evidence-based psychological interventions and delivering Step 2 low-intensity therapies in line with the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) framework. Interventions may be delivered individually, face-to-face, or through group facilitation.You will contribute to the overall performance and delivery of a responsive, high-quality service, ensuring that all interventions meet clinical governance and IAPT quality standards. You will also actively participate in case management and line management supervision and support the wider team to deliver excellent outcomes.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Conduct comprehensive assessments, including risk assessments of self-harm and harm to others.</li><li>Deliver a range of Step 2 low-intensity psychological interventions, both individually and in group settings.</li><li>Monitor and evaluate outcomes to ensure interventions are evidence-based and effective.</li><li>Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to meet service targets and performance standards.</li><li>Participate in supervision, training, and continuous professional development.</li><li>Support the service to maintain data accuracy and meet reporting deadlines.</li><li>Work flexibly across sites to meet the needs of the service and clients</li></ul>About YouYou will be a compassionate, motivated practitioner with a strong commitment to supporting people in achieving lasting positive change.
