The role involves acting on the instruction of the people you support, empowering them to have a say in their situation, to understand their rights and any options open to them and supporting them towards self-advocacy. You will be joining us at an exciting time as we are developing a new pathway for young adults who present with complex trauma, and you will have a key role in contributing to this service development.&nbsp;There are opportunities for further training relevant to the therapeutic work. 

You&nbsp;will provide a clinical service of specialist psychology assessments and interventions to a number of adult service users with&nbsp;acute mental health needs&nbsp;on the ward. You will also provide a specialist clinical perspective in relation to other service users with whom you might not be directly involved. Potters Bar uses a formulation driven and trauma informed model of care.
Reporting directly to the Lead Psychologist, you will be responsible for individual and group interventions, diagnostic and cognitive assessments, MDT working and risk assessments. You will also facilitate staff reflective practice sessions and be requested to design and deliver training.
As a Psychologist, you will have experience and knowledge in carrying a service user’s caseload, including assessing complex needs and designing and delivering specialist psychological treatments to support their care plans.&nbsp;&nbsp;

As a Psychologist you will be:

 <li>Preparing clinical; reports as required, e.g. assessment reports, discharge summaries.</li>
 <li>Liaising with internal and external colleagues as required</li>
 <li>Completing all recording and reporting tasks associated with clinical work.</li>

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our neurorehabilitation SLT team at Hillingdon Hospital. The role is primarily split between our acute Stroke Unit and Alderbourneneuro-rehabilitation ward. There will be opportunities to gain experience on the acute wards, as well as achieving Videofluoroscopy competencies and/or FEES competencies. The post holder will work as part of the SLT team and wider MDT and will be supported and supervised by a Highly Specialist SLT as well as the Clinical Lead SLT. You will have previous experience of the assessment and management of neurorehabilitation patients including dysphagia management and the development of communication therapy plans. Previous experience of videofluoroscopy and MDT training is desirable. You will have excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills. <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
