As a Psychologist you will be:

If you’re an Associate Specialist looking for a new opportunity to join a friendly multidisciplinary team in an established secure service setting, then come and work in the secure pathway with males and females at Chadwick Lodge in Milton Keynes. 
Working part time (4 day week) you will be working across a combination of medium and low secure wards consisting of male and female service users. 
As an Associate Specialist, you will ensure the high quality first-line medical care of our inpatients, liaise effectively with external professionals and carers, provide written and oral evidence for Hospital Managers’ and Tribunal hearings, work towards safe discharges including preparing discharge summaries, reports and other necessary documentation and be a valued and effective member of the multidisciplinary team at Chadwick Lodge.&nbsp;
This established service looks to continually innovate, improve and deliver excellent care for its service users, has an active programme of education and research and provides significant developmental opportunities for its staff.
There are currently four other Associate Specialists working in the service. There is no formal on-call commitment attached to the role, but there are opportunities to join the on-call rota through a locum agency which provides on-call services for the hospital.
When it comes to personal development, Chadwick Lodge has an active CPD programme and doctors have their own PDP peer group. Attendance at external CPD events like conferences is actively supported, and there are also external academic links with universities like King’s College, London, and Brunel University, where you will have the opportunity to be part of such links.
Any desire to work towards Section 12, AC approval or CESR application will be actively supported. The Consultants working in the service have close links with the RCPsych and are very familiar with the CESR process. There are also opportunities to network with other Associate Specialists working within Elysium who are at a similar stage of career development.

Join the friendly and supportive team of qualified, ‘in training’ and Assistant Psychologists, each of whom work within a variety of different psychological frameworks and modalities. The team also includes a CBT Therapist and DBT Nurse Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for you to demonstrate competency in the core areas required to qualify as a Forensic Psychologist, receiving supervision from a Chartered Forensic Psychologist.
You will be working in the male forensic services, which encompass medium and low secure care for service users. There will be opportunity to utilise a variety of therapeutic approaches to aid rehabilitation for individuals who have complex needs and require help to manage their internal processes in a safer way, whilst working towards rehabilitation. In particular the role will involve contribution towards our MDT team based DBT informed approach to treatment of men with acute mental illness.
Working as Trainee Psychologist in our team, you will have your own case load, under supervision and will support with conducting assessments and facilitating group and individual therapeutic sessions across the male services. You will also be supporting and contributing to risk assessments, collection and analysis of data, and representing Psychology in multi-disciplinary clinical meetings. You will support in co-facilitating workshops and training delivered across the hospital. You will also be supported to maintain your personal and professional development.
We are committed to evaluating the effectiveness of our treatment programmes to ensure patients are receiving the required treatment, and there is encouragement to engage in Research projects. Specialist Therapeutic Foster Carer - Mental Health Nurse

Are you a Forensic Psychologist in Training looking to finish your core roles in a different environment or about to enrol in your training and want to work for a fixed term? If so, join Chadwick Lodge as a Forensic Psychologist in Training. Join the friendly and supportive team of qualified, 'in training' and Assistant Psychologists, each of whom work within a variety of different psychological frameworks and modalities. The team also includes a CBT Therapist and DBT Nurse Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for you to demonstrate competency in the core areas required to qualify as a Forensic Psychologist, receiving supervision from a Chartered Forensic Psychologist. You will be working in the male forensic services, which encompass medium and low secure care for service users. There will be opportunity to utilise a variety of therapeutic approaches to aid rehabilitation for individuals who have complex needs and require help to manage their internal processes in a safer way, whilst working towards rehabilitation. In particular the role will involve contribution towards our MDT team based DBT informed approach to treatment of men with acute mental illness. Working as Trainee Psychologist in our team, you will have your own case load, under supervision and will support with conducting assessments and facilitating group and individual therapeutic sessions across the male services. You will also be supporting and contributing to risk assessments, collection and analysis of data, and representing Psychology in multi-disciplinary clinical meetings. You will support in co-facilitating workshops and training delivered across the hospital. You will also be supported to maintain your personal and professional development. We are committed to evaluating the effectiveness of our treatment programmes to ensure patients are receiving the required treatment, and there is encouragement to engage in Research projects. Chadwick lodge has links to both Birmingham and Nottingham Universities and is experienced at supporting Psychologists in Training. This is an on-site position, and full time hours (37.5 per week) are preferable, although those seeking part-time hours or some flexible working arrangements will be considered. Your responsibilities will include: <ul> <li>Holding a caseload of clinical work, including carrying out individual and group psychological intervention and developing formulations.</li><li>Undertaking collaborative risk assessment and management for individual patients</li><li>Undertaking psychological assessments and their write up using appropriate psychometric measures, direct and indirect observations, and semi-structured interviews, under appropriate supervision.</li><li>Attending relevant meetings to contribute to the planning and development of service improvements.</li><li>Managing and maintaining databases.</li><li>Assisting with audits and research projects where required.</li><li>Attending reflective practice sessions.</li><li>Supporting qualified members of staff within the service on a day to day basis.</li><li>Maintaining highest standards of clinical governance, ethical practice, and data protection.</li></ul> To be successful in this role, you'll need: <ul> <li>A BPS accredited recognised Masters degree in Forensic Psychology conferring Graduate Basis for Registration (GBR)</li><li>Previous experience within clinical and / or forensic settings</li><li>Clear professional goals for development</li><li>A willingness to meet professional practice expectations and the regulatory body codes of ethics</li></ul> The successful candidate will ideally have some experience in risk assessment and the delivery of different therapeutic models that support service users towards recovery (i.e. CBT, CFT, Schema or DBT).
