Join the team at Farmfield Hospital in Charlwood, Surrey as a 0.6FTE&nbsp;Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist.&nbsp;
You will be providing strategic leadership and expert psychiatric leadership and clinical oversight within forensic mental health services, acting as Responsible Clinician under the Mental Health Act and delivering high-quality, recovery-focused care to individuals involved with the criminal justice system.
As a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist, you will take on RC responsibility for male service users on our medium secure wards. The RC will have the support of a non-consultant grade doctor as well as secretarial support.
Where you will be working:
Farmfield Hospital is a 64-bed secure unit with both MSU and LSU wards for male patients. The hospital is purpose built and run by the highly experienced Elysium Healthcare group. The hospital is in the beautiful county of Surrey and has excellent transport links to London and Brighton. Gatwick airport is practically next door!
Working with an established multi-professional team, you will deliver individualised care and have access to a large and supportive peer group of like-minded professionals.
Your responsibilities will include:
<ul>
 <li>Ensure the adequate working of the Care Programme Approach (CPA) for patients.</li>
 <li>Work constructively with other multi-disciplinary professionals to ensure good patient care and throughput.</li>
 <li>If needed escalate to the Medical Director or Regional Directors any concerns, in relation to the medical staff, within the region. </li>
 <li>Provide clinical leadership to clinical teams including through effective teambuilding and facilitation.</li>
 <li>Contribute to the training, education and development of staff of all disciplines, in particular medical staff.</li>
 <li>Professionally supervise and appraise medical staff as required.</li>
 <li>Ensure the medical and clinical voice is represented in hospital clinical governance meetings.</li>
 <li>Ensure effective and efficient delivery of quality medical services.</li>
 <li>Guide safe and appropriate implementation of Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act in region. </li>
 <li>Liaison with external agencies who are stakeholders in patient care.</li>
 <li>Support compliance with CQC/HIW standards. </li>
</ul>
To be successful as an applicant you’ll need:

 <li>Full GMC registration with licence to practice</li>

We wish to appoint a Sixth Forms Counsellor to provide a professional and confidential service to students across all three CTK Sixth Forms, ensuring that students receive the support and help they need when facing individual difficulties including emotional and mental health concerns. Applicants should hold a recognised post-graduate qualification in counselling / psychotherapy at degree level or a minimum requirement at Diploma level. Applicants should be accredited (or working towards accreditation), registered or a member of a professional body, for example BACP/UKCP or an equivalent. This is a part-time, part year post to be worked over 1 day (4.5 hours per week for 40 days per year). It is a fixed term contract until 31st August 2026.
