If you’re an Associate Specialist looking for a new opportunity to join a friendly multidisciplinary team in an established secure service setting, then come and work at the Chimneys, a rehabilitation level 2 for women.
As the Associate specialist, you will provide clinical assessment, review and evaluation to the service users under the care and treatment of the hospital. You will ensure that all treatment plans are fully adhered to or escalated if they are not being. The doctor will take a specific focus on physical health, food and fluids and risk management across the wards working closely with the medical team, physical health nurse, ward manager, and wider MDT.
You will also ensure the high quality first-line medical care of our inpatients, liaise effectively with external professionals and carers, provide written and oral evidence for Hospital Managers’ and Tribunal hearings, work towards safe discharges including preparing discharge summaries, reports and other necessary documentation and be a valued and effective member of the multidisciplinary team at The Chimneys.&nbsp;
&nbsp;
You will be working alongside RC for the service, as well as the wider MDT of which they form an integral part. There is a regular multi-disciplinary Team meeting daily so that care and treatment is adequately planned and any risk managed in real time. The team has dedicated administrative support which is based within the hospital.
Other Responsibilities include:

 The Wellbeing Service is part of the national IAPT programme, aimed at helping people across Suffolk aged 16 and over, who are suffering with mild to moderately severe anxiety and depression. You will be fully accredited CBT Therapist with the BABCP. We want patients and staff to recommend our organisation as a place where they would be happy for their friends and family to be treated. You can help us do this by bringing your skills, experience and commitment to The Wellbeing Service. The Wellbeing Service is expanding, and we work closely with community colleagues to support people living with Long Term Conditions as well as our core work. We will offer evidence based psychological treatments to help individuals to live well with their condition, and strengthen links with key physical health colleagues in our area. Additional training in working with Long Term Conditions will be provided.



 <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
 You will provide high intensity interventions to a range of adults with anxiety, depression and trauma related problems. You will receive regular supervision as well as in service training and CPD days that ensure your continued learning and development. This is an opportunity to join an established team of Psychological Therapists providing a range of NICE compliant treatments at Step 3. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Experience of working in Primary Care will be an advantage. As well as 1:1 work you may be expected to co-facilitate group interventions. For the delivery of group work we provide training and additional support, should you need it. As a Band 7 therapist, you will contribute to the on-going development and evaluation of the service. The post will be based in one of our sites in Ipswich or Bury St Edmunds, dependent on applicants own location, however, there is a requirement to work across Suffolk as required. Treatments are currently being delivered digitally and remotely from home as well as face to face treatment provision in clinical spaces across the county. There will therefore be an expectation to work a hybrid model of set days at home and set days from a clinic setting.

A trauma-informed care model is used to focus on length of stay to make sure individuals are able to move as quickly and safely as possible from the service to the most appropriate and least restrictive environment for them. To liaise with patients, family members, Network Practitioners and other professionals as required. To help manage and escalate CYP cases where clinical risk or safeguarding concerns have been identified. Provide mental health escalation cover, supporting with general queries, clinical report checks and risk and safeguarding queries ensuring these are responded to within service level agreement (SLA). Take part in clinical audits for Network Practitioners and feed back into individual practitioner case management and wider service quality improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with all statutory and legal regulations (e.g. access to medical records, Data Protection Act). Participate in service improvements To improve client satisfaction by ensuring the patient journey accurately reflects the our clients triage and case management service. To support the Mental Health Network Clinical Operations Manager with implementation of new fully case managed client contracts and support the training of new Clinical Case Managers accordingly. Provide out of hours clinical support on a rota basis during service opening hours of 8am-7pm Monday- Friday, and on a Saturday 9am-1pm. (Other service lines include assessments for neurodevelopmental conditions, occupational neurodiversity, and training and development.)The RoleWe are recruiting for a combined total of 1.6 WTE sessions (1.0 WTE based in Ipswich and 0.6 WTE based in Norwich) to support the delivery of a contracted service providing psychological treatment for PTSD to a major public sector client.You will be responsible for providing assessment and treatment to individuals (predominantly first responders) referred via their employers' occupational health service.Key Responsibilities include:• Trauma Assessment: Conducting initial eligibility assessments involving clinically screening for PTSD and reporting back to the employer whether the individual meets the contracted criteria.• Specialist Treatment: Providing treatment covering both incident-based trauma and complex trauma. This includes delivering evidence-based treatment adapted for traumatic stress, such as CBT, ACT, EMDR therapy, and Somatic-based therapies.
