Working at the heart of the pastoral team, the counsellor provides early intervention for pupils experiencing mild to moderate mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and behavioural difficulties. Through one-to-one and group sessions, they help students develop coping strategies, emotional resilience, and confidence. The role also involves close collaboration with safeguarding, SEND, welfare, and attendance teams to identify students in need and coordinate appropriate support. The counsellor contributes to safeguarding reports, attends multi-agency meetings, and leads home visits for students with persistent absence, ensuring no child is left behind. <p>If you’re looking to progress your career and be part a new and exciting partnership venture between Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Trust (SABP) and Elysium Healthcare, while making a vital contribution to the lives of young people aged 13-18 with general mental health Tier 4 presentations including disordered eating.&nbsp; </p>
<p>As a CYPMHS Consultant Psychiatrist employed by Elysium Healthcare but seconded to SABP through the hybrid clinical and operational model, you will deliver an evidence-based and focused treatment plan to support the children and young people, and their families, as they progress through their care plans to understand eating behaviours and restore physical health.&nbsp;</p>
<p>You will work alongside the talented and experienced multidisciplinary team to create tailored treatment programmes to support the individual needs of each young person within a warm and nurturing environment. This will allow you to understand symptoms, patterns and origins of psychological distress.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Your responsibilities will include:</strong></p>

    <li>Reviewing referrals and determine appropriateness for admission</li>
    <li>Conducting admission assessments and maintain effective management plans of all young people on the unit</li>
    <li>Conducting risk assessments and review regularly</li>
    <li>Allocating specialist psychological treatments in line with individual needs</li>
    <li>Assessing physical health</li>
    <li>Ensuring effective liaison with referring teams</li>
    <li>Facilitating regular CPA review meeting</li>
    <li>Acting as Responsible Clinician for young people detained under the Mental Health Act</li>
    <li>Involvement in quality, inspections and governance processes</li>

<p>You will also be required to take part in the On Call Consultant rota.</p>

<p>Join the team at Farmfield Hospital in Charlwood, Surrey as a 0.6FTE&nbsp;Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist.&nbsp;</p>
<p>You will be providing strategic leadership and expert psychiatric leadership and clinical oversight within forensic mental health services, acting as Responsible Clinician under the Mental Health Act and delivering high-quality, recovery-focused care to individuals involved with the criminal justice system.</p>
<p>As a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist, you will take on RC responsibility for male service users on our medium secure wards. The RC will have the support of a non-consultant grade doctor as well as secretarial support.</p>
<p><strong>Where you will be working:</strong></p>
<p>Farmfield Hospital is a 64-bed secure unit with both MSU and LSU wards for male patients. The hospital is purpose built and run by the highly experienced Elysium Healthcare group. The hospital is in the beautiful county of Surrey and has excellent transport links to London and Brighton. Gatwick airport is practically next door!</p>
<p>Working with an established multi-professional team, you will deliver individualised care and have access to a large and supportive peer group of like-minded professionals.</p>
<p><strong>Your responsibilities will include:</strong></p>

    <li>Ensure the adequate working of the Care Programme Approach (CPA) for patients.</li>
    <li>Work constructively with other multi-disciplinary professionals to ensure good patient care and throughput.</li>
    <li>If needed escalate to the Medical Director or Regional Directors any concerns, in relation to the medical staff, within the region. </li>
    <li>Provide clinical leadership to clinical teams including through effective teambuilding and facilitation.</li>

    <li>Professionally supervise and appraise medical staff as required.</li>
    <li>Ensure the medical and clinical voice is represented in hospital clinical governance meetings.</li>
    <li>Ensure effective and efficient delivery of quality medical services.</li>
    <li>Guide safe and appropriate implementation of Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act in region. </li>
    <li>Liaison with external agencies who are stakeholders in patient care.</li>
    <li>Support compliance with CQC/HIW standards. </li>

Come and join Horsham CAMHS where your skills, experience and ideas will be appreciated and valued! </p> <p>We are looking for a cognitive behavioural psychotherapist to join us for a 9 month fixed term contract, or who might be open to a secondment from their existing post within SPFT, at up to 0.6 FTE.</p> <p>We would particularly welcome applicants from minoritized backgrounds and those that actively demonstrate an interest in increasing young peoples' participation in shaping CAMHS delivery. BABCP accreditation is required for Band 7 positions.</p> <p>Our team has strong links to universities and researchers. A key advantage of working in secondary care is the chance to work alongside and learn from highly specialist nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists and psychotherapists (with trainings in systemic, DBT, creative, analytic and CBT). Within Sussex CAMHS we have a strong psychology and CBT team. You will be well-supported with training and CPD, and opportunities for career development.</p> <p>We would expect the therapist to be conversant with IAPT principles, and practiced in using ROMS and disorder specific outcome measures as part of evaluation and of their work, as well as part of ongoing team audit.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>As a member of the CAMHS team, you would participate in the core multi-disciplinary assessment and intervention work of the team, and engage in multi-agency liaison work as necessary. You would also be required to participate in the supervision, training and the overall governance requirements of SPFT CAMHS.</p> <p>We operate a pathways model and you would hold some clinical lead responsibilities within these, including decision-making around treatment options, and supervision of low intensity CBT practitioners and trainees. You would also play a lead role in our group interventions.</p> <p>You'd part of a very busy but lively and welcoming CAMHS team, which offers a wide range of individual, group and systemic interventions, and is involved in a number of innovative evaluation and research projects and service developments. As such, you would be encouraged to develop your skills, ideas and interests to further your expertise and that of the team, in accordance with service needs.</p>

    <p>Reporting to the Head of Clinical Services you will hold accountability and responsibility for the SLT provision to all clients within our rehabilitation centre.</p><p>Leading and managing a specialist SLT team in a brand new state of the art rehabilitation centre. The team comprises band 6 and band 5 SLTs, an SLT assistant and we are proactive to have students.</p><p>To contribute to the continued development of a high quality SLT therapeutic service</p><p>To provide specialist dysphagia assessment and intervention to clients who require, utilising compotenceis and experience at a senior practitioner level.</p><p>To provide highly skilled communication assessment and intervention to all our clients with acquired brain injury, such as stroke, ABI and other neurological conditions, utilising compotenceis and experience at a senior practitioner level.</p><p>Delivering 1:1 and group SLT sessions to a range of clients and creating accessible communication and swallowing guidance for the wider MDT.</p><p>Conducting skilled mental capacity assessments independently or jointly with other professionals, as appropriate.</p><p>Having a key-worker role managing and overseeing a specific clients whole journey at QEF, liasing with families, being a single point of contact for all queries, co-ordinating care and discharge packages.</p><p>Advocating on clients behalf in a range of situations, eg. when writing reports, CHC forms and complex DST meetings where highly skilled reporting and ability to deal with questioning is necessary.</p><p>Closely working with the wider multi-disciplinary team PTs, OTs, Psychology team, dietitian, nursing, carers, kitchen staff, activity co-ordinators.
