<p>Step Forward is seeking a Senior Counsellor and Wellbeing Worker to provide high quality therapeutic support to young people and clinical supervision to honorary counsellors. You will be a passionate and skilled individual that will help us to shape services that reach young people facing complex challenges in East London.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide high quality <strong>and confidential 1:1 counselling</strong> and wellbeing support in a range of settings.</li> <li>Deliver clinical supervision to Step Forward honorary counsellors/therapists.</li> <li>Facilitate <strong>small group sessions and wellbeing workshops. </strong></li> <li>Support engagement with young people who are less likely to access traditional mental health services.</li> <li>Lead and/or contribute to service improvement initiatives.</li> <li>Monitor and evidence the <strong>impact of therapeutic interventions.</strong></li> <li>Build and sustain partnerships with external agencies (e.g. CAMHS, schools)</li> </ul> <p><b>About You</b></p> <p>A <strong>recognised qualification</strong> in Counselling or Psychotherapy (accredited or working towards). Supervision qualification and experience providing clinical supervision to practitioners. Extensive experience delivering evidence-based short, medium, and long-term therapy. Experience supporting young people with a wide range of presenting issues (e.g. anxiety, depression, bereavement, trauma, abuse, identity and relationships). Minimum 2 years' counselling experience with young people aged 11-25. Experience working in school and multi-agency environments. A commitment to holistic, young people centred care. Strong safeguarding expertise, including managing complex cases and multi-agency working. Leadership and/or mentoring skills to support colleague's professional development.</p>

<p><strong>Counsellor</strong></p> <p><strong>Location: </strong>The post will be based at EACH premises and post holder will be required to work from any of EACH s locations based on the needs of the service. The main focus of support lies on 1:1 short- to medium term counselling.
