This work will be in accordance with clinical governance processes and professional standards.</p>

  <p>We are looking for a clinical psychologist who is interested in developing their skills further within the Bedford Community Access Pathway. </p>  <p>This post is based within Bedford Community Access Service CAMHS (CAS) Service, and which provides a specialist service, to young people, their families/caring network, working closely with external partners including Education, Local Authority and Primary Care. This is a community-based post, located within Bedford CAMHS, offering flexible, evidence-based episodes of care, assessments and treatments, group-work and psychoeducation to children, young people and parent/carers.</p>  <p>Bedford CAS provides specialist therapeutic interventions to children, adolescents and their families from a wide range of social and ethnic backgrounds, whose problems cause mild to moderate levels of concern to themselves, their parents/carers, professionals and the wider community. The team also works closely with the locality CAMH teams to provide a seamless multi-disciplinary service.</p>  <p>The team is part of wider and comprehensive Bedfordshire Specialist CAMH Services that offers a comprehensive stepped model of mental health care, from early intervention partnerships with all our schools and GP practices, to the imminent opening of an adolescent inpatient unit with intensive home treatment care, providing for all four quadrants of the Thrive model. East London Foundation Trust provides CAMHS services across East London, Bedfordshire and Luton.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The role will include the provision of specialist advice/consultation to the network around the young person, psychological assessment, liaison with other agencies, psychology interventions, cognitive assessments, delivering training and workshops, supporting and informing on the trauma-based care for the children and young people and their caring networks, helping to develop a system of care and embedding a trauma-informed approach with partner agencies, clinical supervision (Band 8A) and line management (Band 8A). </p>  <p>At Band 8A, the post holder will be an experienced psychologist with a substantial knowledge in the field of child and adolescent mental health, with an awareness of the social, emotional and psychological impact of care experienced young people. They will clinically supervise the work of trainee psychologists and other psychologists as needed, and offer management supervision to other members of the team. A preceptorship will be offered to less experienced psychologist to offer support and training to enable the transition to Band 8A two years post qualification.</p>    <h3>About us</h3>

  <p>We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated individual, with a strong professional identity to work as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team. You will work with children and adolescents who have highly complex and persistent mental health difficulties, using evidence based practice to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions. You will provide a range of highly skilled therapeutic trauma-informed interventions, which will be delivered on an individual, group or family basis, provide consultations to social workers/foster carers, provide support to professional networks working with the children in care, and share OT specialist skills to the multi-disciplinary team.</p>

<p>We are recruiting for a full-time <strong>Occupational Therapy Assistant</strong> to join our team at Marlborough House in Milton Keynes</p>
<p>Marlborough House is a 28-bed, medium-secure forensic mental health inpatient unit that provides care for men in conditions of medium security. The unit consists of two wards: a 20-bed acute ward and an 8-bed rehabilitation ward. It is part of the Thames Valley Forensic Mental Health Service and is located on the Milton Keynes University Hospital Site.</p>
<p>Recovery is a key element of our approach to treatment at Marlborough house, assisting patients in their journey to change attitudes, values, feelings, goals, and skills. The successful candidate will also have responsibilities that include direct clinical work and case management of complex and high-risk cases, line management and clinical supervision.</p>  <p>The post holder will work with the Clinical Team Lead to ensure operational services are effective and will provide frontline leadership to the staff within the Multidisciplinary Team. The successful post-holder will directly contribute to service development and to the positive working environment within the multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will lead by example to maintain high standards of care and practice and to empower the team to take on a greater range of clinical tasks to improve client care in the specialist CAMH service.   <p><strong>ELFT Digital Therapy (EDT)</strong>is seeking to appoint experienced and accredited, remote-working<strong>Band 7 High Intensity CBT Therapists</strong>to join our expanding team on a<strong>permanent basis</strong>. Experience in perinatal and in treating PTSD would be advantageous. This is a rare opportunity to work entirely from home, or from anywhere in the UK, as part of a fully remote, forward-looking NHS Talking Therapies (IAPT) service.</p> <p>EDT forms part of the East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT) consistently rated<em>Outstanding</em>by the Care Quality Commission. As a digital-first service, we support community-based IAPT teams across<strong>East London, East Anglia and the Southeast</strong>, providing high-quality care that is clinically robust, equitable, and accessible.</p> <p>This role offers genuine flexibility. You will deliver individual therapy, triage and group interventions remotely, within our service hours of 8am-8pm Monday to Thursday, and 8am-5pm on Fridays. <p>If you’re an Associate Specialist looking for a new opportunity to join a friendly multidisciplinary team in an established secure service setting, then come and work in the secure pathway with males and females at Chadwick Lodge in Milton Keynes. </p>
<p>Working part time (4 day week) you will be working across a combination of medium and low secure wards consisting of male and female service users. </p>
<p>As an Associate Specialist, you will ensure the high quality first-line medical care of our inpatients, liaise effectively with external professionals and carers, provide written and oral evidence for Hospital Managers’ and Tribunal hearings, work towards safe discharges including preparing discharge summaries, reports and other necessary documentation and be a valued and effective member of the multidisciplinary team at Chadwick Lodge.&nbsp;</p>
<p>This established service looks to continually innovate, improve and deliver excellent care for its service users, has an active programme of education and research and provides significant developmental opportunities for its staff.</p>
<p>There are currently four other Associate Specialists working in the service. There is no formal on-call commitment attached to the role, but there are opportunities to join the on-call rota through a locum agency which provides on-call services for the hospital.</p>
<p>When it comes to personal development, Chadwick Lodge has an active CPD programme and doctors have their own PDP peer group. Attendance at external CPD events like conferences is actively supported, and there are also external academic links with universities like King’s College, London, and Brunel University, where you will have the opportunity to be part of such links.</p>

The Consultants working in the service have close links with the RCPsych and are very familiar with the CESR process. There are also opportunities to network with other Associate Specialists working within Elysium who are at a similar stage of career development.</p>
<strong>Other Responsibilities include:</strong>

    <li>Preparing First-tier Tribunal and Hospital Managers' hearing reports under the supervision of Consultant.</li>
    <li>Provide medical reports and attend CPA meetings to review care of patients with NHS England case managers and community care co-ordinators</li>
    <li>Providing oral evidence at First-tier Tribunal and Hospital Managers' hearings under the supervision of the Consultant (Depending on your experience).</li>
    <li>Contributing to the service development by participating in Clinical Governance activities by conducting audits, research and teaching.</li>
    <li>Work effectively with colleagues to ensure that patients are able to access appropriate medical cover at all times.</li>
    <li>Providing prospective cover to other specialty doctors when they are on leave.</li>
    <li>Liaising with GP and practice nurse regarding physical healthcare of patients.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>To be successful in this role, you'll need:</strong></p>

    <li>Full GMC registration</li>
    <li>Experience working in psychiatry within multi-disciplinary teams</li>
    <li>To be in good standing for CPD with the Royal College of Psychiatrists</li>

			<p>Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist who wants to help shape mental health care for men and women across different levels of security? Join Chadwick Lodge, a friendly, committed and long-established Mental Health Service.</p>
<p>Chadwick Lodge is a 113 bedded hospital consisting of a combination of secure, acute and DBT wards, both for men and women, across levels of security, from medium secure to locked. </p>
<p>As a Consultant Psychiatrist some of your key responsibilities will include management of complex cases, formulating care plans and treatments for individual needs of service users, and guiding on evidence-based treatment and effectiveness. You will have a caseload of approximately 15 patients depending on the service user cohort and as a result may have a caseload across different wards.&nbsp;</p>
<p>You will have the opportunity for career development and you will have access to excellent CPD opportunities, a peer group of enthusiastic and high-calibre doctors and study leave funding to support your continuing education and training in line with your goals.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be:</strong></p>

    <li>Taking overall responsibility for patient treatment plans in conjunction with the MDT</li>
    <li>Attending morning handover.</li>
    <li>Assessing referrals to determine suitability for admission.</li>
    <li>Undertaking appropriate investigations, diagnosis &amp; treatment</li>
    <li>Participating in ward rounds, clinical audit and quality improvement work.</li>
    <li>Chairing and overseeing CPA reviews.</li>
    <li>Leading the implementation of risk assessment and management.</li>
    <li>Participate in clinical governance and ensure implementation of policies and protocols.</li>
    <li>Working and liaising with external agencies.</li>
    <li>&nbsp;Managing, appraising and give professional supervision to junior medical staff as agreed between consultant colleagues and the medical director.</li>
</ul>
<p>Medical first tier on-call is covered by an external agency. Consultants are expected to take part in second-tier on-call. Approximately 1:6 regional senior on-call rota pro-rata</p>
<p><strong>To be successful as a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will need:</strong></p>
<ul type="disc">
    <li>Full GMC registration</li>
    <li>MRCPsych or equivalent.</li>
    <li>To be on the Specialty Register for Forensic Psychiatry or General Psychiatry with forensic experience.</li>
    <li>To be able to lead and work within multi-disciplinary teams.</li>
    <li>To be in good CPD standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists and to have had an appraisal within the last year.</li>
    <li>AC and Section 12(2) approval.&nbsp;</li>
