  <p><strong>The Role and Person</strong></p><p>You will be responsible for delivering outcome based psychological therapy that is uniquely tailored to meet the needs of service users living in the region. You will supervise a number of assistant psychologist supporting them in a manualised treatment approach, whilst working with the wider team on more complex cases. You will be offered supervision from a consultant Psychologist working within our service, they will encourage you to develop your strengths and skills with opportunities for professional development. </p><p>The service is community based and appointments are offered where possible in the service users locality as well as remotely via telephone and video. As some travel will be required, a full drivers licence is essential or access to good public transport links. However, in return, you will also benefit from having the flexibility to work from home when appropriate to do so.</p><p>The successful applicant will join a highly motivated, supportive and friendly multi-disciplinary team, and will report directly to the Clinical Lead. The service is psychology-led and holds psychological assessment and formulation, as well as the service users we work with, at the core of everything it offers.</p><p>Experience of using a range of therapeutic modalities including CBT, EMDR and Compassion Focused Therapy would also be an advantage although support and development to gain these skills will be provided.</p>

The post holder will work with both inpatients and outpatients, predominately within the specialisms of Head and Neck Cancer and Voice disorder.You will be joining a well-supported, strong team of specialist Head and Neck and Voice speech and language therapists, who are well established with a fantastic reputation throughout the hospital. The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital forms part of the East of England Cancer Alliance and is the main Head and Neck Cancer site for Norfolk, Waveney and East Suffolk. The SLT team works closely the MDT with the opportunity to attend weekly ward rounds, MDT meetings/clinics, radiotherapy clinic and close liaison with the dietitians and clinical nurse specialists.</p>

  <p>The NNUH SLT team is enthusiastic and innovative and committed to evidence-based practice. You will receive regular supervision, will have the opportunity to be involved in service development and research projects and attend regular team meetings. As part of our commitment to continuing professional development, we offer a clinical skills development in managing voice prosthesis and tracheostomy, and conducting FEES and Videofluoroscopy. In addition, the team also has strong links with the University of East Anglia including the undergraduate SLT degree course and Medical School.</p>

This will be a mixture of day and night shifts</p> <p>Our emergency call handlers are committed, enthusiastic individuals who care about people. They must have the ability to listen and respond, processing information quickly and accurately into the Computer Aided Dispatch system. Customer service skills are important and the ability to remain calm and supportive as some callers will be experiencing significant distress and trauma, including the loss of a loved one. Being able to remain focused on giving the right advice and support despite experiencing the emotions of others is a real skill and strong calm communication is required. </p> <p>All the training and mentoring you will need to undertake this role will be provided - no clinical experience is required; however, we do ask that you read the pre employment guidance which will support you when you commence training. Please be aware we are looking for Full Time staff only, the Training &amp; Mentoring period is fully paid &amp; hours are Full Time.</p> <p>All of the instructions and advice you will be giving to callers/patients is managed through a triage tool, it is intuitive and will present to you at the right time.</p> <p>No clinical experience is required, and although some call-centre experience would be an advantage, it is not essential.</p>
