We’re here for men who have recently been through a mental health crisis—whether they’ve just left hospital or are finding it difficult to stay safe where they currently live. Our house offers a calm, safe environment where residents can take time to stabilise and focus on their wellbeing. We provide therapeutic support to help each person feel ready and confident to return home. Stays are usually up to 10 days, although men who are of no fixed abode (NFA) may stay a little longer if needed.</p><ul>	<li>We’re a non-CQC registered service.</li>	<li>Our team is here day and night, 24/7, every day of the year.</li>	<li>The service is run by Rethink Mental Illness, working closely with AWP, who handle all referrals through their Crisis Teams.</li></ul><p><strong>How you will make a difference:</strong></p><p><strong>Staffing, Leadership &amp; Oversight</strong></p><ul>	<li>I will ensure that staff have the correct guidance and support to fulfil their roles and will ensure that a monthly 24/7 rota ensures enough staffing capacity to deliver effective support.</li></ul><p><strong>Quality of Support &amp; Environment</strong></p><ul>	<li>I will ensure that a high standard of support is embedded within the service and will promote and support an inclusive environment.</li>	<li>I will ensure that high quality support planning, risk management, outcomes measurements are in place for all residents in the service at all times.</li></ul><p><strong>Referrals &amp; Risk Management</strong></p><ul>	<li>I will review all referrals into the service and ensure these are appropriate for the service remit and that risks are manageable during the residents stay. <p>Join the team as an Associate Specialist at Ty Gwyn Hall and deliver high-quality clinical services to service users in an open rehabilitation setting. The hospital provides 40 male and female beds across four wards and offers a supportive environment where recovery and independence are at the heart of care. </p>
<p>Working closely with the Responsible Clinician and a multi-disciplinary team, you will ensure that each service user receives a holistic, person-centred treatment programme based on the recovery model. Families and friends play an active role in this process, helping individuals progress towards more independent living wherever possible.</p>
<p>As an Associate Specialist, you will take responsibility for reviewing patients’ mental state, managing physical health concerns and ensuring comprehensive health screening upon admission. You will prepare reports for tribunals and hospital managers’ hearings under consultant supervision, and depending on experience, may provide oral evidence. Your role will also involve completing discharge documentation, seeking collateral histories and contributing to clinical governance through audits, research and teaching. Collaboration is key, and you will work effectively with colleagues to maintain medical cover and provide prospective cover during leave periods.</p>


<p><strong>As an Associate Specialist, you will be:</strong></p>
<ul>
    <li>Ensuring an adequate handover to colleagues including out of hours.</li>
    <li>Reviewing the mental state of patients as per the hospital procedure.</li>
    <li>Ensuring that each patient has a full physical health screen upon admission including physical examination, ECG and bloods (the hospital has some phlebotomists).</li>
    <li>Taking a lead with managing any physical health concerns that emerge during inpatient stay.</li>
    <li>Seeking collateral history from other professionals and family.</li>
    <li>Completing discharge letters/reports/s62 forms as required in a timely manner.</li>
    <li>Preparing mental health review tribunal and Hospital Managers’ hearing reports under supervision of Consultant.</li>
    <li>Contributing to the service development by participating in Clinical Governance activities by conducting audits, research and teaching.</li>
    <li>You will be supported by the Responsible Clinician to provide oral evidence at Tribunals and Hospital Managers’ hearings as part of your development.</li>
    <li>You will be supported to achieve Section 12 (2)approval and AC status in Wales should you identify this as part of your career development.</li>
    <li>Work effectively with colleagues to ensure that patients have access to appropriate medical cover at all times.</li>
    <li>Providing prospective cover to other specialty doctors when they are on leave.</li>

<p><strong>To be successful in this role, you’ll need:</strong></p>

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>The Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) service is an exciting initiative in the Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) commissioning area. It is part of the Government's response to the 2017 Green Paper to increase access to mental health support by delivering evidence-based early interventions in educational settings for children and young people (CYP) presenting with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.</p> <p>The post holder will work as an autonomous and responsible EMHP while also offering supervision within the scope of the MHST initiative.</p> <p>The post holder will work in partnership with schools to deliver a range of mental health interventions within school settings. This may involve group work or direct work with children and young people, as well as offering mental health-based consultation and advice to teaching staff.</p> <p>The post holder will ensure the effective coordination of clinical care provided within schools, including consideration of safeguarding and clinical risk issues where indicated.</p> <p>The post holder will contribute to the clinical leadership of the team, providing supervision and caseload management to trainee and qualified EMHPs.</p> <p>The post holder will be responsible for clinical skills supervision and caseload management supervision of EMHPs within the MHST.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p><strong>Therapeutic Assessment and Intervention:</strong></p>
<p>Assess and deliver outcome focused, evidence-based interventions in educational settings for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, working at all times in collaboration with and giving respect to the education function of the setting inwhich the post-holder is working.</p>
<p>Facilitate fair access to services and promote social inclusion regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or disability.</p>
<p><strong>Supervision:</strong></p>
<p>Deliver clinical supervision to supervisee's on a scheduled basis to ensure safe practice and the governance obligations of the MHST service are adhered to.</p>

<p>Working with service users in distress and who on occasion may have used coping strategies such as self-harm, or present as hostile, confused and have difficulty communicating and as a result may pose risks to themselves or the safety of others.</p>
<p>Frequent driving and working across multiple sites to deliver interventions and attend to administrative tasks. There is an expectation to work mainly out of allocated schools but the post holder must be prepared to attend satellite sites, our main office and some home working.</p>

Be a part of it.</p><p>We are looking for a confident<b>Care &amp; Support Worker</b>with a passion for delivering outstanding care.</p><p><b>Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke</b>provides an emergency admissions servicefor men and a pathway for women from low secure to rehabilitation including a specialist servicefor personality disorder.</p><p>This role will be 12 hour shifts working a mixture ofDays &amp; Nights.</p><p>The hospital has more than 16 acres of landscaped grounds and overlooks the Bristol Channel.
