The course you will undertake is a one-year PG Dip Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. (A part-time route is also available. Trainees following this pathway will undertake the same structure but will have up to 18 months to submit their final portfolio).</p> <p><strong>This is a fixed term role for 12 months.</strong></p> <p><strong>After completing the training and becoming a qualified HIT, there may be an opportunity to apply for a permanent post and contribute to an experienced and innovative service.</strong></p> <p>A typical working week includes 3 days of clinical practice with the service and 2 days attending university, including one study day. University days will be hybrid training with a combination of remote and face-to-face teaching. This post will be part time for 4 days a week</p><p>Sunderland Counselling Service Head Office is based in John Street in the city centre and we expect the successful post holder will work from a community base(s) across the Sunderland area.</p><p>The post holder who will hold a counselling qualification to Degree, MSc, MA, or Diploma level and will be working in a Sunderland Community Children and Young People's Mental Health Service (SCCAYPMHS) locality base within Sunderland as part of a team of counsellors. The post holder will be engaged in the delivery and development of the counselling, supervision and training components of the service, and will work with children and young people whose lives are, or have been, affected by events to such a level that it impacts upon their emotional and mental well-being.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>You will assess the needs of children and young people, in relation to their emotional and mental well-being, offering counselling to help them to address these issues.</p><p>You will participate in team development, training, regular supervision sessions as well as attending all team meetings and will help to contribute to the further development and sustainability of the service.</p><p>You will also be accountable for personal conduct and professional practice in relation to all relevant legislation and according to Sunderland Community Children and Young People's Mental Health Service (SCCAYPMHS) policies and procedures.</p><p>You will keep accurate and appropriate records of the work carried out including contributing to the provision of accurate statistical information using the relevant outcome measures used by the service.</p><p>The post requires effective and creative work, and may involve some evening and weekend work.   <p>You will be line managed through Sunderland Counselling Service an independent local charity that has been established for over 30 years. It has a strong person centred ethic, and has grown into one of the leading IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) providers for mental health across the North East of England.</p><p>Although you will be line managed through Sunderland Counselling Service you will be working as part of an integrated Sunderland Community Children and Young People's Mental Health Service (SCCAYPMHS)- formerly known as CAMHS-team. Following all of their policies and procedures. This very supportive team of people from different professional backgrounds works together to ensure that children and young people from 0-18 receive the support they need.</p><p>Sunderland Community Children and Young People's Mental Health Service (SCCAYPMHS) aim to deal with such difficulties at the earliest possible stage of intervention in the hope that children and young people will develop skills and resilience to promote positive well-being, thus minimising the risk of further distress.</p>

  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen within NHS Northumberland Talking Therapies to appoint a cohort of Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners to be based within the Northumberland area and study through Teesside University.</p><p>The post will involve office based working. This is a Northumberland wide post, the primary base is likely to be either Morpeth, Blyth or Cramlington but you may be expected to travel to other bases around Northumberland.</p><p>The post will include one evening shift per week.</p><p>Progression from a Band 4 to a Band 5 will be dependent on you successfully completing the course.   <p>Northumberland Talking Therapies has an exciting opportunity to recruit a qualified PWP who holds accreditation with either the BABCP or BPS and is keen to develop their skills and experience within our
organisation, working to
deliver low intensity service provision to residents from the Northumberland
area. The position can be offered as a minimum of 22.5 hours or up to and including full time. You will be based in one of our Northumberland offices, but this is a hybrid position with home working options available.</p><p>The
post-holder will work within a service where caseload is monitored on booked
appointments, and which offers fantastic progression opportunities from supervisor
training to trainee high-intensity CBT positions.</p><p>The
post-holder will provide low intensity interventions including a
range of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based self-management
interventions to clients experiencing mild to moderate anxiety and depression.

  <p>We are looking for an experienced mental health professional to join our Service Access Team as a Community Mental Health Co-ordinator, within North Tyneside Specialist Community Psychology Service. The role supports patients from the point they access the service, through the assessment process and into treatment. You will also liaise both internally within the service and externally with other agencies to ensure that clients receive the best possible care while assessing patients suitability for a range of therapeutic interventions within the service.</p>

<p>You will work with your team to identify service developments that improve patient experience and care and put these into practice. Support Team (MHST) model. MHSTs are school based mental health service
focusing on early intervention and prevention, offering Low Intensity CBT
interventions for mild to moderate difficulties, supporting the development of the
whole school approach and offering consultation, advice and training. EMHPs
work on a 1:1, with parents/carers and deliver groups in the education setting.
</p><p>To access the
university course potential candidates will need to be educated to degree level
and have experience of working with children and young people ideally in a
school environment. </p><p>Candidates who are successful at shortlisting will be invited to an open
morning prior to interview.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>We have a fantastic opportunity within our
Sunderland Mental Health Support Team to train as an Education Mental Health
Practitioner. </p><p>The post holder will be expected to commit to
training at Northumbria University whilst working with schools within our
Mental Health Support Team to gain the knowledge and clinical experience in
order to achieve a Post
Graduate Diploma in Mental Health and
Emotional Wellbeing Studies in the Education Environment and qualify as an Education Mental Health Practitioner. 

Our EMHPs work across Sunderland schools to support the implementation of the
National Mental Health Support Team model, supporting children and young people
with their mental health and emotional wellbeing needs. </p><p>The post holder will work in our established teams
to fulfil all 3 functions of a Mental Health Support Team including the
delivery of Low
Intensity CBT (LICBT) evidence-based interventions in particular around anxiety
and low mood. They will work collaboratively with schools to deliver Whole
School Approach, build positive mental health culture, awareness and emotional
resilience through workshops, assemblies, and whole school activities, and they
will work with educators to provide regular consultation and timely advice
around children and young peoples mental health.</p><p>If this is
