			<p>If you’re an Associate Specialist looking for a new opportunity to join a friendly multidisciplinary team in an established secure service setting delivering&nbsp;high-quality clinical service to people with complex mental health conditions across the medium and low secure service.</p>
<p>&nbsp;Working part time 18.75 hours a week alongside the unit's multidisciplinary team, including the Consultant, to ensure that service users receive a holistic and person-centric treatment programme based on the recovery model.</p>

<p>As an Associate Specialist, you will ensure the high quality first-line medical care of our inpatients, liaise effectively with external professionals and carers, provide written and oral evidence for Hospital Managers’ and Tribunal hearings, work towards safe discharges including preparing discharge summaries, reports and other necessary documentation and be a valued and effective member of the multidisciplinary team at Thornford Park Hospital</p>
<p>This established service looks to continually innovate, improve and deliver excellent care for its service users, has an active programme of education and research and provides significant developmental opportunities for its staff.</p>
<p>There are currently four other Associate Specialists working in the service. There is no formal on-call commitment attached to the role, but there are opportunities to join the on-call rota through a locum agency which provides on-call services for the hospital.</p>

Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital have such an opportunity for you in our CT department. The department has dedicated specialist lists which include CT colonography, cardiac, angiograms and interventional radiology procedures. The CTC list is radiographer led with a CTC reporting radiographer.</p> <p>We have recently been through a departmental refurbishment and installation of 3 new state of the art Canon CT scanners as part of the Radiology Managed Service contract.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>HHFT supports specialist services for rare and complex illnesses for patients from across the UK, including liver cancer, colorectal cancer and pseudomyxoma peritonei. We undertake a wide variety of CT imaging examinations to complement these specialities including body imaging, CT colonography and Cardiac CT. We also perform a wide range of vascular, oncological, MSK, trauma and neurological studies.</p> <p>Therefore, with the expansion of Radiology services over the next few years and enhanced scope of practice available, this is an ideal opportunity to expand your portfolio.</p> <p>We welcome applications from experienced CT radiographers with effective leadership skills who have a proactive approach to providing outstanding care for every patient. Ideal candidates will be a well organised team player with great clinical knowledge, good communication skills, with the ability to prioritise ever-changing worklists. Excellent working knowledge of CT and patient safety is essential with the ability to participate in our extended day and weekend service.</p> <p>HHFT is proud to have achieved commendations in relation to patient care and access including being awarded a CQC rating of 'good' overall with an 'outstanding' for care.</p>
