Come and join Brighton CAMHS where your skills, experience and ideas will be appreciated and valued! </p> <p>We are looking for a cognitive behavioural psychotherapist to join us for a 9 month fixed term contract, or who might be open to a secondment from their existing post within SPFT, at up to 1.0 FTE.</p> <p>We would particularly welcome applicants from minoritized backgrounds and those that actively demonstrate an interest in increasing young peoples' participation in shaping CAMHS delivery. BABCP accreditation is required for Band 7 positions.</p> <p>Our team has strong links to universities and researchers. A key advantage of working in secondary care is the chance to work alongside and learn from highly specialist nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists and psychotherapists (with trainings in systemic, DBT, creative, analytic and CBT). Within Sussex CAMHS we have a strong psychology and CBT team. You will be well-supported with training and CPD, and opportunities for career development.</p> <p>We would expect the therapist to be conversant with IAPT principles, and practiced in using ROMS and disorder specific outcome measures as part of evaluation and of their work, as well as part of ongoing team audit. It would also be helpful if the therapist has demonstrated experience of offering training and consultation to other professionals within and outside the team as necessary. </p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>As a member of the CAMHS team, you would participate in the core multi-disciplinary assessment and intervention work of the team, and engage in multi-agency liaison work as necessary. You would also be required to participate in the supervision, training and the overall governance requirements of SPFT CAMHS.</p> <p>We operate a pathways model and you would hold some clinical lead responsibilities within these, including decision-making around treatment options, and supervision of low intensity CBT practitioners and trainees. You would also play a lead role in our group interventions.</p> <p>You'd part of a very busy but lively and welcoming CAMHS team, which offers a wide range of individual, group and systemic interventions, and is involved in a number of innovative evaluation and research projects and service developments. As such, you would be encouraged to develop your skills, ideas and interests to further your expertise and that of the team, in accordance with service needs.</p>

<p><strong>Part Time Hours - 16 hours per week </strong></p> <p>The Cambian Group is one of the largest providers of specialist behavioural health services for children and adults in the UK. Our work in the UK embraces many specialist services including children's specialist education, children's residential services, adult mental health, acquired brain injury and fostering services.</p> <p><strong>The Forum School</strong></p> <p>The Forum School and Residential Home is a 52-week residential and specialist school providing quality therapeutic care and education for young people with Autism, severe learning difficulties and challenging behaviour and complex needs. The children and young people that attend our school range between 7 and 19 years of age.</p> <p><strong>Job Description</strong></p> <p>To primarily work within the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) at the educational sites providing music therapy input required to meet the needs of the students that is directed by the Assistant Head.</p> <p>This role will involve working within the MDT to provide sessions, handover, written reports and support to students within an educational and caring environment that puts the health, safety and welfare of our young people first.</p> <p>Important qualities of this role involve conducting yourself in a professional manner at all times whilst on duty.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work closely with staff and parents to understand the needs of the child and the ways in which music therapy might help.</li><li>Provide specialist music therapy assessment and treatment for children presenting with a wide range of developmental and neurological needs.</li><li>Implement a range of specialist interventions drawn from different evidence based theoretical models to meet a child's needs.</li><li>Work in close consultation with the specialist multi-disciplinary team to provide joint interventions and work as appropriate to meet the needs of the child.</li><li>Maintain accurate and up to date student records and statistics in line with company and HCPC standards, including video/audio recording, written clinical notes and reports.</li><li>Plan, implement and organise sessions and/or activities for class groups and individuals. Evaluate the effectiveness of these sessions and liaise about the student through regular supervision.</li><li>Support students towards managing their own behaviour by using the skills and approved approaches learned during the training provided.</li></ul> <p><strong>Experience Required</strong></p> <ul> <li>Approved Postgraduate Master's Degree in Music Therapy.</li><li>Current registration with the Health and Care Professionals Council</li><li>At least 3 years' experience working as a music therapist.</li><li>Experience working with young people with learning disabilities and behavioural/emotional regulation challenges.</li><li>Experience of planning, organising, delivering and evaluating music programmes appropriate to individuals needs and skills.</li></ul> <p><strong>Requirements for an Enhanced DBS and reference checking will be undertaken in line with government regulations and safer recruitment best practice.
