  <p>We are looking for 12 month maternity cover to the Band 7 Senior Mental Health Practitioner role within the North Bristol CAMHS team.</p> <p>We are a service working withchildren and young people with complex mental health needs. We use the CAPA model of assessment and treatment, which would involve working with a variety of clinical presentations and needs, including: suicidal thoughts, low mood, anxiety, OCD and emerging psychosis, often alongside neurodiversity. We also have a lot of referrals for young people with disordered eating and diagnosed Eating Disorders, and there are opportunities to work within this clinic if this is something you are interested in.</p> <p>We are looking for a practitioner with a core professional registration, including registered nurses, social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, family therapists, art therapists and CBT therapists.</p> <p>North Bristol is an area of significant disparities in health, wealth and access. <p>Hillingdon Mental Health Support Team is looking for a <strong>Qualified</strong> <strong>EMHP or Generic Mental Health Practitioner</strong> who has experience of working with Children and Young People in Mental Health Services in the provision of individual and group treatments. We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and vibrant individual who is passionate about improving health outcomes for children and young people.</p>
<p>Mental health professionals with post graduate training in a recognised therapy modality and experience of working with CYP may also apply. We are open to applications from newly qualified occupational therapists, mental health nurses, social workers or other relevant therapy post graduate qualifications.</p>
<p>You will work alongside other EMHPs, Mental Health Practitioners and a Senior Practitioner to support the wellbeing and mental health needs of schools and colleges in the borough of Hillingdon.</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>This is a role within the Green Paper for Transforming children and young people's mental health programme. The post holder will work within a service providing low intensity interventions. The post-holder will provide a range of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based self- management interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate anxiety and depression and/or behavioural difficulties and their parent(s)/carer(s).</p> <p>The post holder will work with children, young people and parents with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.</p> <ul>  <li>Undertaking assessments and delivering evidence-based, low-intensity, brief intervention for children and young people,with mild to moderate mental health problems, in an <strong>education setting.</strong></li>  <li>Helping children and young people within these settings who present with more severe problems to rapidly access more specialist service.</li>  <li>Supporting and facilitating staff in education settings to identify, and where appropriate, manage issues related to mental health and wellbeing.</li>  <li>Working with and within educational environments to afford better access to CYP mental health services.</li>  <li>Training and consultation to schools and other agencies about mental health in children and young people.</li>  <li>Support schools in developing their Whole School Approach to mental health.</li> </ul>

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>We are recruiting for a Band 6 Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) as our YJS Senior Mental Health Practitioner.</p><p>The Youth Justice Service (YJS) is a multi-disciplinary team which works with children and young people aged 10 -17 years old who have offended and are made subject to a range of community and custodial disposals.</p><p>The YJS Senior Mental Health Practitioner will support children and young people by providing time-limited interventions, who are known to the YJS and are experiencing mental health and wellbeing difficulties, as part of an overall plan to reduce their risk of re-offending, harm to others and vulnerability.</p><p>This may include signposting or liaison with other service providers, and establishing exit strategies (via onward referral) to ensure ongoing support is available where it is deemed necessary. You will be supported by being co-managed by both CAMHS and the YJS manager, receive regular supervision and access to a wide range of professionals including mental health nurses, social workers, OT, associate practitioners, Psychologists, Psychotherapists, family therapist, CBT therapists, Creative Arts Therapists and consultant psychiatrists.</p><p>We pride ourselves in delivering high quality and innovative psychological solutions, working collaboratively with children, young people and their families to deliver dynamic and evidence-based therapies.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Completion of initial assessments and screenings in relation to emotional and mental health to establish what level of support and or intervention is required.</p><p>Delivery of time-limited interventions to children and young people known to the YJS who are experiencing emotional health and wellbeing difficulties</p><p>Referral on to universal, early help or targeted services (or liaising with other health professionals) for onward assessment or support.</p><p>Undertakes a lead role within the YJS in respect of mental health and wellbeing, including provision of advice, guidance and specialist knowledge to staff in support of overall YJS practice and/or development of services.</p><p>Provide screening, care, and health promotion to children and young people known to the YJS who are experiencing emotional health and wellbeing difficulties.</p><p>Design and deliver preventative and targeted work to children, young people and their families to address safeguarding and risk management concerns (including 1:1 and group work).</p><p>Maintain strong links between YJS and other relevant service providers (for example, but not limited to CCAMHS, FCAMHS, EIP, GP and Social Care) for effective liaison, signposting and onward referral as appropriate</p><p>Contribute to YJS performance against agreed targets and indicators through effective data inputting, service delivery and team-working.</p>

<p>With the emphasis on patient-centred and community-based care, there has never been a better time to join our team. Working alongside our occupational and physio therapists, you will help provide these patients with improved access to cognitive behavioural therapies either one-to- one or in a group, alongside helping your colleagues deliver their management interventions.</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>As a respiratory therapy assistant practitioner, you will deliver excellent patient care along a care pathway across organisationalboundaries. Your role will involve supporting your senior colleagues to deliver individualised treatment plans for patients with complexrespiratory conditions.You will work alongside your allied health professional colleagues to deliver our recently established symptom management programmein a 1-1 and group setting. Your role will also include monitoring and assisting with equipment provision.In return for your hard work we can offer you a flexible working environment; personal development and a comprehensive corporate andlocal induction programme.
