  <p><strong>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 CAMHS Mental Health Practitioner to join Youth Partnership Service (formally known as Luton Youth Offending Service). This is a multi-agency provision South Bedfordshire. We are looking for a creative, flexible and committed clinician who has an interest in multi-agency working within the Youth Justice System to join the service.</strong></p> <p><strong>The post holder will hold a caseload of young people referred through the Youth Offending Service (YOS), and will work within the principles of the agreed model of care for the service as laid down in the CAMHS/LYOS operational policy. </strong></p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p><strong>The post holder will work as an autonomous and accountable practitioner within an integrated team. This will involve the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the care provided and effective liaison with all agencies involved with the service user. </strong></p> <p><strong>This is a community based post, embedded within the Luton Youth Offending Service (LYOS). Predominantly this service will be delivered within the YOS and will include the provision of specialist advice/consultation and CAMHS mental health assessment. The post is closely linked to Bedfordshire and Luton CAMHS. The post will also include liaison with other agencies and secure estates, specialized clinical interventions and to support, clinical supervision and teaching of multi-agency staff and students.</strong></p>

  <ul>  <li>Working within the treatment function of the AMHT you will co-ordinate the care for patients with severe and enduring mental health diagnosis.</li>  <li>You will work autonomously, with a caseload of patients with whom you will engage and offer the recommended treatment and support.</li>  <li>You will have experience of providing community mental health care and able to assess and plan treatment with service users. You will also be able to assess and manage risk, including use of Safeguarding processes.</li>  <li>There are opportunities for team working and facilitating groups such as MBT/CBT based interventions.   <p>We are looking for 12 month maternity cover to the Band 7 Senior Mental Health Practitioner role within the North Bristol CAMHS team.</p> <p>We are a service working withchildren and young people with complex mental health needs. We use the CAPA model of assessment and treatment, which would involve working with a variety of clinical presentations and needs, including: suicidal thoughts, low mood, anxiety, OCD and emerging psychosis, often alongside neurodiversity. We also have a lot of referrals for young people with disordered eating and diagnosed Eating Disorders, and there are opportunities to work within this clinic if this is something you are interested in.</p> <p>We are looking for a practitioner with a core professional registration, including registered nurses, social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, family therapists, art therapists and CBT therapists.</p> <p>North Bristol is an area of significant disparities in health, wealth and access.   <p>This role is offered on a permanent basis with the potential for flexibility in working hours and some remote working with the base being either Bury St Edmunds or Ipswich but with the expectation that you will work across both areas.</p> <p>The post holder will be an experienced Eating Disorder practitioner who, acting within their own professional boundaries, will provide care for adult service users with eating disorders. Supporting the Clinical Team Manager and leadership team, the post holder will actively participate in the day to day clinical and operational management of the Adult Eating Disorders Team within the locality, be part of a multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the development of the services they support. They will demonstrate safe clinical decision-making, and sound clinical expertise and knowledge of eating disorders and their treatments. The post holder will support the leadership team to meet the needs of the service users and contribute to service improvements and supervision of other members of the team.</p>
