<p>A fantastic opportunity has arisen within PAM Occupational Health Solutions for an&nbsp;<strong>Occupational Health Technician</strong>&nbsp;to join our OH Screening Team within the Private/Public sector and support some of our well-established clients.</p><p><strong>Covering - Northampton, Coventry, Peterborough and&nbsp;surrounding areas, and willingness to travel UK Wide ​- Car allowance provided.&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>8.5 working day, providing 7 clinical hours, Driving and some overnight stays are required in this role and are fully paid for. Women can be admitted to New Dawn if they have a diagnosis of personality disorder, exhibit self-harming behaviour and are able to accept the need for help. Service users can be informal or detained under the Mental Health Act.
Upping Ward is our 15 bed intensive Support Service for women with a diagnosis of personality disorder and complex mental health needs. The service pathway provides a robust programme of care for women with challenging high risk behaviour who experience difficulties with engagement with therapeutic programmes. We aim to meet the needs of these women, who may have had previous inappropriate placements, in a less restrictive setting.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Cygnet Hospital Beckton is a is a gender specific hospital for women with complex mental health needs.
Situated in the East End of London, the hospital has four different specialist wards including PICU, acute admissions and personality disorder services.
We accept emergency and planned, pre-assessed admissions. Our aim is to support individual service user recovery and integration back into the community, as quickly as possible. We have a multi-disciplinary team of specialists and offer a very broad range of therapies.</p>

As an integral team in the Urgent Care Pathway we work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We work with people who are experiencing a mental health crisis, require extra support alongside their regular support network or who can have the same treatment provided at home that they would receive in a Mental Health Hospital.</p> <p>We are a team that consists of Band 5 and 6 Nurses, Band 3 Support Workers, Non-Medical Prescribers, Medical Staff, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Administrators and Business Support Staff. </p> <p>As we work with people with all types of mental health presentations, we need to have a range of skills and interests that create a strong and responsive team.</p>

  <p>Mental Health Practitioner - Nurse, OT, Social Workers</p> <p>Working in a multi-disciplinary team and in partnership with internal and external agencies, you will;</p> <ul>  <li>Provide specialist assessment and care planning in conjunction with service users and carers</li>  <li>Evaluate treatment plans and undertake home treatment</li>  <li>Triage and assess referrals received by the service in liaison with multi-disciplinary colleagues</li>  <li>Co-ordinate the work of the Team</li> </ul>
