  <p>There is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Applied Psychologist interested in specialist learning disability services. This development post is for people passionate about LD. It is a chance to work with an experienced and welcoming team. The role is diverse and rewarding with excellent cross division support.</p> <p>Suitable for experienced band 7 wishing to progress to 8a without requiring the development process. Also suitable for 8a psychologists wanting to move from current post and develop skills in a CLDT. This multi-disciplinary, community service serves the Walsall area.</p> <p>Walsall CLDT is supportive, forward-thinking &amp; committed to improving patient care. It serves people with a learning disability experiencing significant mental health needs and/or displaying significant behavioural distress. It is part of a stepped care whole-pathway model linking with the IST, FCT, A&amp;T Inpatient services &amp; local Commissioning services.</p> <p>There are likely to be opportunities to work across the division, linking in to our community based services. You may on the rare occasion be asked to support one of those services should the need arise.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The team provides a full range of assessments, interventions, support, training and advice to individuals themselves, their families and paid carers and the network of multi-agency stakeholders who are involved in the care and support of people experiencing complex behavioural and/or emotional distress.</p>
<p>Guided by recovery principles, the team maintains close liaison and pathways with a range of existing and specialist mental health community teams, social support accommodation services and social care agencies across the Walsall area in order to ensure that people with a learning disability and mental health and/or behavioural distress needs are also well supported by the full range of services and opportunities that meet their whole life person centred needs and aspirations.</p>

  <p>The post-holder will be part of a team committed to MDT working with people with a learning disability. They will bring experience combining the best of evidence based clinical assessment &amp; formulation with integrative, client centred, therapeutic interventions.</p> <p>They will be skilled in both individual and group work adapted to match the different intellectual &amp; emotional abilities within the client group. They will have experience and skills to oversee the performance and development of existing psychological pathways, such as Trauma, PBS and Dementia.</p> <p>There are opportunities to develop new and existing group programmes. The post-holder support in training/supervising others, including practitioners &amp; trainees working within the team at different times.</p> <p>Psychologists throughout services across BCHFT have good links with the full range of Doctoral Psychology courses at the Universities of Birmingham, Coventry and Warwick and Wolverhampton.</p> <p>Key staff are closely involved with Research and Innovation. CPD and supervision for all grades of staff is highly valued. This newly integrated CMH team is developing a pathway for people with psychosis and an enhanced pathway for people with psychosis where meaningful engagement can be a challenge. You will work closely with senior colleagues across our teams and localities on team and service development whilst providing psychological interventions to people with greatest complexity. </p> <p>We want you to feel supported within your role and we are keen see our psychologists flourish and develop with training in Family Interventions (BFT), CBT for Psychosis (CBTp) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for example.   <p>An exciting position has arisen within our Cannock Mental Health Support Team. We are looking for an experienced &amp; enthusiastic Education Mental Health Practitioner/Children's Wellbeing Practitioner.</p> <p>Youwill continue to build on the fantastic work carried out within your allocated schools. The role is varied &amp; no two days are the same, you may be setting up and delivering group work &amp; assemblies one day to delivering assessment &amp; interventions the next, as well assupportingschools to develop their whole school approaches to mental health &amp; wellbeing.</p> <p>You will be skilled &amp; experienced in conducting mental health assessments of children and young people (CYP) presenting with common mental health difficulties such as anxiety and low mood. You will conduct risk assessments &amp; identify the right level of support for CYP you come into contact with.</p> <p>Alongside the clinical aspect of your role, you will play an integral part in supporting schools with their whole school approaches. There is scope for creativity and opportunities to work alongside CYP &amp; parents/carers to drive the whole school approach agenda.</p> <p>This is an opportunity to be involved in an established team within the wider CAMHS structure, as a joint initiative between health &amp; education. You will work across the Staffordshire locality as well as supporting other MHSTs across South Staffordshire. You will work deliver parent, staff well-being, 1:1 &amp; group work sessions. </p>

  <p>We are recruiting to a <strong>Peer Support Worker role</strong> within the West Midlands Learning Disability and Autism Community Forensic Service.</p>
<p>This service is being developed as a partnership between <strong>Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust (CWPT)</strong> and <strong>Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT)</strong>.</p>
<p>We are seeking applicants with <strong>lived experience of mental distress</strong> who can draw on their personal experiences to offer empathy, understanding, and hope to others. The role of Peer Support Worker has been developed specifically to ensure people with lived experience can inspire recovery and provide meaningful support.</p>
<p>This is a <strong>non-recurrent, two-year project</strong> funded via the Reach Out Collaborative, with the contract commencing upon appointment. This post is available as a <strong>fixed-term contract or 20-month secondment</strong> opportunity for internal applicants.</p>
<p>This is an exciting opportunity to play a <strong>key role in supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism who have forensic needs</strong>, reducing health inequalities and promoting recovery-focused outcomes.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p> Encouraging, inspiring, motivating, and assisting people with <strong>multiple and complex needs</strong> who access the West Midlands Community Forensic LDA service.</p> <p> Working alongside the Band 7 Nurse Practitioner to support <strong>comprehensive and holistic assessments</strong> and contribute to care and support packages.</p> <p> Using <strong>lived experience of mental distress</strong> to build empathy and understanding, offering hope and supporting recovery.</p> <p> Helping people feel more in control of their lives by connecting them with <strong>practical support networks</strong> and supporting them to identify their own recovery pathway.</p> <p> Supporting individuals to <strong>transition from secure services into the community or least restrictive environments</strong>, reducing the number of people in specialist hospitals.</p> <p> Addressing <strong>health-related drivers of offending behaviours</strong> and supporting people across care pathways, organisations, and roles.</p> <p> Building links and liaising with <strong>external agencies</strong> to ensure collaborative, person-centred care.</p> <p> Ensuring the individual's needs remain at the forefront at all times, working to the <strong>recovery model</strong> to support people in achieving their goals.</p>
