You will also offer advocacy to ensure that the families / carers and patients' needs and views are heard and acted on, whatever their communication needs are. You will identify and address cross organisational challenges. You will work closely with key agencies across the health, education, social care and voluntary sector; this will also include links with adult services where either there are requirements for transition planning to adult services or where the families / carers are receiving adult service support.</p>

  <p>To be successful in this role, you must be proactive and compassionate, have a great eye for detail, excellent organisational skills and strong communication skills. You must be passionate and sensitive about effecting change, and empowering patients, families and carers.   <p>As a Peer Community Support Worker, you will work within the Thurrock Recovery and Well Being multidisciplinary team (CMHT), across Thurrock, to support people who under the Team, with diagnosis of severe and enduring mental illness, requiring secondary, specialist mental health support. You will use your lived experience of mental health difficulties to inspire hope and embed the principles of recovery within the team. The team provides outreach and intensive multi-disciplinary interventions as a community alternative to inpatient care. Team members also provide consultation, advice and support to professionals and carers involved with the young people. The team uses mentalization based approaches (AMBIT, MBT-A, MBT-F).</p>

  <p>This exciting opportunity to become a part of the Therapy team on the Critical care unit at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford is not to be missed. The Therapy team is led by highly skilled specialist Band 7 Physiotherapists supported by a clinical lead Physiotherapist and offers a unique experience working in our new state of the art Intensive care unit. The team also includes dedicated Occupational therapists for the unit as a part of the MDT.</p>

  <p>The post holder will be a part of the team which provides respiratory Physiotherapy to our most acutely unwell patients on the unit. There is the opportunity to teach and support more junior staff and to learn and work alongside all members of the MDT involved with these patients. The team provide a seven day service to the unit and participate in the Trust Respiratory Physiotherapy On-call rota. The post holder will also have the opportunity to deputize for the Team Leader on clinical and managerial issues within the team and to be actively involved with training within the Department</p>

    <li>We need you to be available for a minimum of one day per week to work in a therapeutic capacity with up to 3 children offering one-to-one counselling.</li>
