<p><strong>As a Senior Clinical/Forensic Psychologist you will be:</strong></p>

    <li>Autonomous in managing your own caseload, which will involve working with complex service-users.</li>

<p>Thornford Park Hospital, part of Elysium Healthcare, is an independent 143 bedded hospital set in 23 acres of parkland on the outskirts of Newbury, Berkshire (close to the Hampshire borders).</p>
<p>We provide services for male and female patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983) who require care in conditions of medium and low security. Our service users, many of whom have forensic histories, require long-term treatment and rehabilitation and present with multiple problems, challenging and high-risk behaviour and complex care needs. In addition to the mental health wards, Thornford Park has a 14-bedded low secure service for male patients with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, commissioned by NHS England, a medium/low secure service for females with a Learning Disability, and a medium secure service for males with Learning Disability. We also have two Psychiatric Intensive Care Units, one for males and one for females, providing holistic assessment and treatment for individuals experiencing crisis.</p>

    <li>Place2Be provides a high level of support to counsellors on placement through regular supervision, tailored training workshops and offers a well-recognised clinical placement*.</li>
    <li>We provide a comprehensive induction programme and clinical supervision is undertaken at the end of each day.</li>
    <li>We need you to be available for a minimum of one day per week to work in a therapeutic capacity with up to 3 children offering one-to-one counselling.</li>
    <li>Placements are term time only and run for one academic year. There are opportunities for you to stay with us beyond one year.</li>
    <li>You will have the opportunity to attend up to six optional workshops throughout the year which are recognised as continuing professional development time.</li>

  <ul><li>To be a part of the Bereavement and Talking Therapies team who offer emotional support to patients, carers, children and young people and families who have a life-limiting illness or are bereaved.</li><li>Triage referrals and undertake assessments to appropriate departments with Bereavement and Talking therapy service.</li><li>Trained professional in CBT/DBT/counselling.</li><li>Plan and facilitate sessions for bereaved and pre-bereaved patients.</li><li>Deliver staff and patient/family/carers psycho-educational workshops.</li><li>To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and contribute to providing a high-quality service.</li></ul><strong>This role will suit someone who</strong><ul><li>Works under pressure with the ability to meet deadlines.</li><li>Can quickly build trusting, empathetic and caring relationships.</li><li>Is flexible and enjoys the variety of work in a fast-moving environment.</li><li>Has good interpersonal skills.</li><li>Has strong organisational skills.</li></ul>  <h3>About us</h3>
  <p>At Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care, our unique care provides a lifeline of compassion and support to patients, carers, and families facing progressive life-limiting illness.

We provide palliative and end of life care support, including bereavement services, within Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire and our patient services are available to adults, as well as patients transitioning into adult services (16 to 25 years).</p><p>Bereavement support is offered for all ages to families of patients and those around them, as well as throughout the community, in schools and workplaces.

We are proud to offer care in the place that best suits the individuals needs, whether that is at home, in a care home, in a short stay in our inpatient unit, out in the community, or in our purpose-built Living Well Centre facilities. As a hospice care charity, we have offered this support, free of charge, for over 40 years.</p>
