  <p>An opportunity has arisen to recruit a CAMHS Clinical Specialist to the Southwark CAMHS Early Help Team (Tier 2 generic) for a fixed term contract covering a maternity leave.</p>
<p>The post holder will carry out initial assessments and offer treatment according to their clinical and professional back ground and training. It is important that the successful candidate has substantial experience of working with children and young people with complex mental health difficulties in a CAMHS setting. Experience working therapeutically with children and young people with Neurodevelopmental conditions is essential.</p>
  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Participate as a multi-disciplinary team member in the setting and reviewing of therapeutic aims, objectives, standards and strategies to provide a high standard of care to clients and their families.</p>
<p>Assume responsibility for own case list and case management of children, adolescents and families who are determined to be at mild to moderate risk.</p>
<p>Undertake all duties in line with the professional Codes of Professional Conduct, and maintain professional registration requirements for the post according to discipline/profession.</p>
<p>You will manage your own caseload and work within a team but will have freedom to act within the service framework and Trust operational policies.</p>

CAMHS Clinical Specialist

  <p>This is an exciting arts therapies opportunity with Newham Arts Therapies, working with adult service users with complex mental health needs, in hospital and the community. The clinical provision is to cover for maternity leave, and may include individual and group work. You will be well supported with supervision from very experienced arts therapies clinicians. You will be part of a well-established arts therapies, and specialist psychotherapy service. We are looking for interested applicants who can work autonomously and be part of a very committed team. Team meetings take place on Wednesdays, 9.30-11am online. This full-time fixed-term role may be split across more than one modality, days to be negotiated accordingly.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>You will work as part of Newham Arts Therapies, offering clinical provision, including assessment, individual and group work, to in-patient and community service users with complex mental health needs. This work takes place in different locations, including Newham Centre for Mental Health, 409 High Street and other community locations, and will include picking up ongoing referrals, and setting up of some new work in the community. You will be qualified and registered as an Arts Therapist (art psychotherapy, dramatherapy, music therapy and dance movement psychotherapy), with work experience relevant to the role. We are looking for committed and enthusiastic applicants who want to work as part of a team and contribute meaningfully to service user experience and recovery.</p>

  <p>This role is an exciting opportunity within NCL Home Treatment Team. You will be a member of the CYPMHS NCL Home Treatment Team, working to support young people's voices to be heard to improve services.</p> <p>NCL CAMHS Home Treatment Team (HTT)</p> <p>The North Central London (NCL) </p> <p>CAMHS Home Treatment Team (HTT) is an intensive, multi-disciplinary community service designed to support children and young people (CYP) aged 12-17 who are experiencing a mental health crisis and may otherwise require hospital admission. The service operates across all five boroughs of NCL: Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey, and Islington.</p> <p>HTT provides an 8am-8pm Mon-Sun crisis response and home-based treatment as an alternative to inpatient admission. The team delivers intensive, time-limited support tailored to the needs of each young person and their family. The model focuses on early intervention, stabilisation of risk, and recovery in the least restrictive setting, in alignment with the principles of the NHS Long Term Plan and the national CAMHS crisis care framework.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The Band 5 Family Ambassador will support children, young people and their families accessing CYPMHS NCL Home Treatment Services. With lived or professional experience of navigating health and social care systems, they will offer compassionate, non-clinical support and bridge communication between families and the multi-disciplinary team.</p> <p>Key responsibilities include offering 1:1 and group-based support, advocating for family perspectives, facilitating access to community resources, participating in co-production, supporting siblings, and maintaining accurate records. The role requires flexibility, including evening and weekend work.</p> <p>The HTT operates a flexible model of care which adapts to the unique needs of each young person and their support network, using a trauma-informed and culturally responsive approach. The Family Ambassador role is central to ensuring that families are empowered, supported, and meaningfully involved throughout the care journey within NCL HTT.</p>
