As a Senior Clinical Psychologist, you will be: <ul> <li>Working therapeutically with service users with complex presentations, undertaking assessments using a broad range of structured psychometric and semi structured clinical methods.</li><li>Formulating and implementing plans for specialist psychological treatment or management of patients' mental health needs based on a multi-factorial psychological understanding and current evidence based best practice.</li><li>Contributing to MDT care planning and review.</li><li>Take a key role in Psychology service developments, providing an evidence-based approach to new clinical initiatives.</li><li>Be aware of new and innovative approaches to managing complex cases and new service developments and promote these effectively within the organisation.</li><li>Contributing to professional development within the psychology team.</li><li>Contributing to audit and research as directed by the Lead Psychologist.</li><li>Maintaining high standards of care in all areas of practice and in accordance with the HCPC Standards of Proficiency; HCPC Standards of conduct, performance and ethics; BPS Code of Ethics and Conduct; and company policies and procedures.</li><li>Being professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of clinical work and care.</li><li>Support in the development and delivery of training programmes to aid the development of staff teams in a given service area.</li><li>Providing clinical supervision to Assistant Psychologists, as directed by the Lead Psychologist.</li></ul> To be successful in this role, you'll need: <ul> <li>BPS accredited and HCPC approved Doctorate.</li><li>HCPC Registered.</li><li>Chartered Member of the BPS</li><li>Experience of working with clients with complex needs that are relevant to the population. Particularly with a trauma informed approach.</li><li>Competence in assessing, formulating, and working therapeutically with service users with mental illness and/or personality disorder.</li><li>Knowledge of the theory and practice of specialised psychological therapies, formulation models and relevant risk and clinical assessments.</li><li>Knowledge and understanding of working with trauma.</li></ul> Where you will be working: Location: Farndon Road, Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG24 4SW You will be working at the Farndon Unit, low secure, acute and rehab services within the hospital which offers personalised assessment and recovery-based treatment pathways for women with complex care needs. The Farndon Unit provides care for women with a diagnosis of severe and enduring mental illness and/or personality disorder and/or mild learning disability. You will be working alongside a multidisciplinary team offering personalised assessment and recovery-based treatment pathways, including a trauma specific pathway, for women with complex care needs.
