<p>Working as part of a transdisciplinary team, you will provide formulation-led, person-centred care in our Neurobehavioral Rehabilitation service which provides care and treatment for adult males and females with acquired brain injury and challenging behaviour.</p>
<p>Supervising an Assistant Psychologist and working closely with clinicians from a range of disciplines, your specialist input will be key in achieving good patient outcomes. With the support of the team, you will administer neuropsychological and psychometric assessments that support the formulation of behavioural interventions seeking to manage challenging behaviour and enhance rehabilitation.</p>
<p>You will support therapeutic sessions by engaging in induvial and groupwork sessions, where appropriate, alongside other members of the team, and will assist in clinically relevant administrative duties, including developing and conducting audits, analysing and interpreting behavioural data, and developing and delivering staff training. In addition, you will join the senior management team and input into clinical governance, ensuring that the psychologically led model is both evaluated and effective. There are also opportunities to conduct research within the service.</p>
<p>You will be provided with supervision and support from the Clinical Directors and will be able to access a range of training opportunities to help both you and the service flourish.</p>
<p><strong>Your responsibilities will include:&nbsp;</strong></p>

    <li>To take responsibility in leading and overseeing the specialised psychological assessment and therapy programme in operation at the service</li>
    <li>To supervise and manage other members of the Psychology profession employed within the service</li>
    <li>To provide specialist psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals contributing directly to resident’s formulation, diagnosis and treatment plan. To provide expertise, advice and support to facilitate the effective and appropriate provision of psychological treatments by other members of the transdisciplinary team.</li>
    <li>Contributing to other specialised assessments as required, including of risk and capacity, and to provide advice to other professions on psychological aspects of risk assessment and risk management.</li>
    <li>Actively engage in and contribute to appropriate local and national networks and with other stakeholders to raise the profile of Moorlands Neurological Centre and Elysium Neurological.</li>
    <li>In conjunction with the Clinical Directors, to ensure all non-medical therapeutic approaches are underpinned by the appropriate conceptual model, have an empirical evidence base, and that their effectiveness is measured.</li>
    <li>To routinely monitor service level clinical outcome measures to make certain that the service is a centre of clinical excellence, and where necessary identify areas for continual improvement in the quality of the therapeutic programme.</li>

<p><strong>To be successful in this role, you'll need</strong></p>

    <li>To be registered as a Clinical Psychologist with HCPC registration.</li>
    <li>A BPS accredited and HCPC approved Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent.</li>
    <li>Chartered Member of the BPS.</li>

  <p>GMMH Health and Justice Services are looking to recruit a committed and compassionate Practitioner Psychologist or Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to work within the multi-disciplinary mental health team, which implements a stepped-care model of mental health and psychological care, within HMP Styal.</p> <p>We are seeking a full-time HCPC registered psychologist or BABCP accredited High Intensity CBT therapist to join the integrated mental health team, working alongside other psychological professionals including PWP staff, specialist psychological therapists, Practitioner Psychologists and an Assistant Psychologist. The post holder will provide assessment, formulation and medium to longer-term psychological therapy, to individual's presenting with common mental health difficulties of varying complexity, for which CBT has been demonstrated to be clinically effective. They will work closely with other professionals to support responsive step-up and step-down provision across the stepped care model and contribute to the wider formulation and understanding of presenting distress, including attending multi professional meetings to share formulations, treatment plans and progress.</p> <p>A prison environment can be a challenging place to work, we are seeking someone not only with strong clinical skills but also the ability to manage and respond to the dynamic needs of the team, the client group and the environment, to ensure that provision is accessible and appropriate.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>To complete detailed assessments, with the aim of developing collaborative, idiosyncratic formulations to understand an individual's mental health difficulties, emotional distress, complex personality presentations and trauma responses.</p> <p>To deliver evidence-based psychological therapy (CBT) to individuals who are experiencing psychological distress, through the application of knowledge and skills in assessment, formulation and intervention acquired through training, ongoing CPD and clinical experience.</p> <p>To implement a range of outcome measures to ensure ongoing evaluation of therapeutic delivery. </p> <p>To manage own caseload with support from the mental health psychology lead.</p> <p>To contribute to the multi-professional understanding of service-user presentation and support the development of a psychologically and trauma informed environment for the services-users to reside within. </p> <p>To co-facilitate cognitive-behavioural group interventions with support from other psychological staff, and evaluate effectiveness accordingly.</p> <p>To take an active role in the process of multi-disciplinary risk assessment and risk management, utilising relevant assessment tools such as the CRASP.</p> <p>To provide supervision to junior psychological staff, including Psychological Well-being Practitioners and Assistant Psychologists</p> <p>To contribute to the development and delivery of training to the mental health team and health partners, as well as for prison staff and other stakeholders.</p>

  <p>Senior Therapy Assistant: REACT</p> <p>Band 3- 18.75 hours</p> <p>We are currently looking for a Band 3 Therapy Assistant to join our friendly emergency care therapy team.</p> <p>The Rapid Emergency Assessment Care Team (REACT) comprising of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Therapy Assistants aims to avoid hospital admission by providing comprehensive Therapy assessments within the Accident and Emergency Department. Timely discharge assessments are provided for patients on the medical assessment and short stay wards, for patients whose discharge cannot be avoided, assessment and detailed intervention plans ensure that their journey through the hospital is assisted. </p> <p>The service we deliver allows many opportunities for excellent interdisciplinary working within the team and positive relationships with medical, nursing and social care colleagues across frailty, emergency care, and community services. As a member of a dynamic and enthusiastic team, there are opportunities to be a part of service development. </p> <p>Fundamental to the service delivery model, is that our team provide a 7 day service, which is rolled out over a fixed, four week repeating rota. </p> <p>The successful candidate will be required to work one weekend, every 4 weeks.</p>

We also work closely with our patients partners and family members to ensure they are supported whilst their loved one is on the ward.</p>
<p>The successful applicant will work as a member of our multi-disciplinary mental health team, which is made up of nurses, nursery nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, a social worker and occupational therapists.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Under the supervision of a qualified practitioner, you will help support our our mums and families on the ward. This will include the running of a peer support group on the ward where you will be able to share your own experience, you will inspire hope and belief that recovery is possible, and be able to discuss the difficulties in the perinatal period.</p>
<p>This role has been developed specifically for individuals who have lived experience of accessing Perinatal Mental Health Services.</p>
<p>You will be able to promote peer support within the perinatal service, and contribute to the development of their involvement and participation, in service development.</p>
<p>The role is for 15 hours a week and we are happy to be flexible with what days and hours this is for the successful applicant.</p>
