  <p>We are pleased to offer this Associate Psychological Practitioner (APP)/Mental Health wellbeing Practitioner (MHWP) post within specialist eating disorder services. The post is based at Harvey House, Lancaster and working from Kendal and Barrow which are the bases for the Bay Eating Disorder Team. The team is part of the All Age Eating Disorder Service which covers Lancashire and South Cumbria and has close links with our other locality teams based in the Bay (Lancaster and South Cumbria), Fylde Coast, East and West Lancashire providing multi-disciplinary specialist care for people who have an eating disorder. You will be joining a dynamic multi-disciplinary team of professionals with a passion for working with people who have eating disorders including psychological therapists, systemic family therapist, specialist mental health nurses, specialist dietitian and medical professionals.</p>
<p>You will be joining the team at an exciting time of real development as the service works together to improve services for people who have an eating disorder. You will benefit from working with an enthusiastic, hardworking and supportive team who are committed to delivering high quality NICE compliant psychological therapies to people of all ages with an eating disorder. The post holder will receive regular supervision and professional support from either a psychologist or CBT therapist.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The service is committed to training and development of staff and you would be supported to access training in eating disorder specific CBT models, if required.</p>
<p>The successful candidate will be expected to deliver low intensity CBT interventions mainly focused on the eating disorder. Interventions will be offered in both 1:1 and group formats.</p>
<p>Applications will be welcome from suitably qualified Associate Psychological Practitioners, who have completed the Postgraduate Diploma Associate Psychological Practitioner (PGDip APP) and Mental Health wellbeing Practitioner (MHWP) additional training.</p>
<p>Please note: This post is subject to an enhanced DBS Clearance. As part of the pre-employment checks, successful candidates will be required to pay for their own DBS check at a cost of £50. Deductions will be taken from the first 3 months salary.</p>

<p>The post-holder will work within all age eating disorders service. The post holder will work with people from different cultural backgrounds and of different ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.</p>

  <p>The post-holder will be required to conduct psychological assessments, develop structured formulations and deliver psychologically informed, evidence based interventions under the supervision of an experienced clinical psychologist/CBT therapist. This will include provision of CBT informed guided self-help for eating disorders and co-facilitating CBT groups for eating disorders.</p> <p>Lancashire &amp; South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. <p>In a period of exciting change, Preston CAMHS are looking to recruit a Band 6 CAMHS Practitioner to complement the wider multi-disciplinary CAMHS; a busy, friendly service providing a range of treatment approaches to children and young people 0 - 18yrs including CBT, EMDR, Psychiatry, Psychology and Family Therapy. We also work in close collaboration with partner agencies.</p>
<p>We work with children, young people and families up to the age of 18years presenting with a wide range of moderate to severe, emotional and mental difficulties. Experience of working with children and young people with mental health difficulties would be an advantage.</p>
<p>We are committed to ongoing continuous professional development of our staff and as a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to be involved in various training initiatives, including CYPIAPT.</p>
<p>The hours of work are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. You must be passionate about working with children and young people with a wide range of moderate to severe mental health difficulties.</p>

<li>As part of an integrated CAMHS service actively liaise and support robust partnership working arrangements between the CAMHS Team and community partners and other key stakeholders involved with the child across agencies in order that an integrated package of care is developed.</li>
<li>Provide a high level of generic skills and competencies and work towards development of areas of clinical expertise within the field of CAMHS, complimenting other members of the team.</li>

With this in mind, we are looking for a Practitioner Psychologist who shares our vision to use innovative approaches to enhance the quality of life and outcomes of the pupils we support. <br><br> <b>Location: Underley Gardens School - Kirkby Lonsdale - Underley Gardens </b>School forms part of our Options Autism brand, and is an independent specialist day school, supporting children and young people aged 5 - 19<ul><li> Welcome to Underley Garden School </li><li> Welcome to Waterloo Lodge School </li><li> Oakfield House School </li><li> School Finder - Options Autism </li></ul> <b>For further information regarding this vacancy please refer to the Job Description and Person Specification attached. </b> <br><br> <b>Essential Criteria:</b> <ul><li>Registered with the HCPC</li><li>Doctoral level degree in Clinical/Counselling/Forensic/Educational Psychology (or equivalent if qualified prior to introduction of relevant Doctorate)</li><li>Relevant previous experience, working in related settings or with related client group</li><li>Experience of effective multi-disciplinary working (working with both clinical and non-clinical, internal and external agencies)</li><li>Experience of effectively communicating with/working with families/relatives and carers</li><li>Experience of effectively working at different systems within an organisation e.g. service development, group and individual levels.</li><li>Experience of working via a model of: 'assess, plan, do and review</li><li>Experience of effectively using consultation as a method of service delivery.</li><li>Adequate competence in all core areas of psychological practice, meets HCPC practice standards.</li><li>Knowledge of client group and their needs. </li><li>Knowledge of trauma informed practice and neuro-diversity. </li><li>Ability to develop formulations and use these to inform clinical intervention plans and recommendations for others.</li><li>Ability to develop and deliver training to different cohorts of people </li><li>Ability to write coherent and accurate clinical records, including observation records, consultation records, reports and intervention plans</li><li>Excellent communication with people on complex matters and ideas and in complex situations.</li><li>Effective IT skills, or aptitude to learn effective IT skills, to use core computer programmes and platforms.</li><li>Ability to work effectively with a range of professionals, problem solving with others to achieve excellent service development outcomes.</li><li>Ongoing evidence of CPD. </li><li>Ability to use evaluation tools to demonstrate and improve service effectiveness and outcomes.</li><li>Ability to make independent clinical decisions when necessary.</li><li>Excellent time management and organisational skills. </li><li>Ability to prioritise multiple work demands and meet work deadlines. </li><li>Undertake relevant Group induction training on commencement in post. </li><li>Commitment to the values of the organisation. </li><li>Flexible approach to working environments. </li><li>Ability and willingness to travel on company business. </li><li>Full driving licence and access to a car. </li></ul> <b>Desirable</b> <ul><li>Experience of working with specific client group (e.g. neuro-diverse and/or social, emotional and mental health) and setting type (e.g. schools and/or residential care). </li><li>Experience of providing supervision to others. </li><li>Working knowledge of current philosophies and principles underpinning services for those within the specific client group. </li><li>Knowledge of legislation and its implications for both clinical practice and professional management in relation to the client group. </li><li>Post qualification training in topics related to role, service and/or client group</li><li>Training in evidence-based interventions/approaches </li></ul> <b>Why work for us?</b> <br><br> Alongside working with a network of over 350 clinical colleagues with regular forums for peer reflection and practice development, Outcomes First Group offer an array of flexible benefit options: <br><br> <b>Benefits</b> . click apply for full job details
