  <p>We are looking to recruit a <strong>Counselling or Clinical Psychologist</strong> to join our Adult CMHT based in Kings Lynn Covering West Norfolk with the possibility for a small amount of home working. The psychology and psychological therapies team in the CMHT has an exciting and vibrant skill mix including Clinical Psychology, CBT therapists, CAT therapists, Art therapists, DBT therapists, and CAPS.</p> <p>The post holder would join this team and be responsible for providing assessment, consultation formulation, individual and group therapy for service users accessing the CMHT. There would also be responsibilities in relation to providing supervision and service evaluation. There are opportunities for the post holder to support further therapy training to fit the needs of the service. In recent years this has included CBT, DBT, CAT, MDT and EMDR.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The successful applicant will hold their own caseload of clinical work. This will cover assessment, consultation formulation, individual and group therapy for service users accessing the CMHT. They will be supervised by the 8B Clinical Psychologist and will have their own supervisory responsibilities for others in the team.</p> <p>Psychology is well valued in the CMHT in West Norfolk and other duties will include working closely with the wider professions in the MDT. This successful applicant will have a job plan in line with BPS guidance which will incorporate time for CPD and learning as well as clinical duties. The post is based at Chatterton House in Kings Lynn and serves the population of West Norfolk.   <p>Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation NHS Trust (LPFT) delivers an NHS Talking Therapies service. An opportunity has arisen for a qualified counsellor Band 5 or Band 6 to join the Lincolnshire Talking Therapies service based in Spalding although you may also be required to cover alternative bases to meet service need. The Service provides evidence-based interventions within a stepped care model, treating people with mild to moderate common mental health problems. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a major national service, which has fundamentally changed the way in which psychological treatments are provided.</p> <p><em><strong>CLOSING DATE: 30th December 2025</strong></em></p> <p><em><strong>INTERVIEWS: 15th January 2026</strong></em></p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to work within a team environment and be thoroughly conversant with the use of clinical systems.</p> <p>The Band 5 counsellor will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing counselling for depression. The post holder will be expected to hold a clinical caseload and will be provided with clinical supervision. The service will provide the relevant training to acquire a qualification in a Talking Therapies modality of PCE-CfD.</p> <p>To acquire the Band 6 post the candidate will need to continue to hold a caseload, be accredited with a professional body, complete and pass a qualification in a Talking Therapy modality PCE-CfD. They will be responsible in providing clinical supervision to counselling colleagues.</p>
