Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist with experience working with people in inpatient settings who may be treated under the Mental Health Act provisions? Are you interested / experienced in providing treatment for women who may have suffered trauma and are affected by mental disorders? If so, then join the team at Spring Wood Lodge hospital!
This permanent Consultant Psychiatrist position (37.5 hours per week) will see you join the established multidisciplinary team at Spring Wood Lodge. The service has 21 beds across two wards in a locked rehabilitation setting providing treatment for women with mental disorders including personality disorders. The wards are well supported by a full complement of multidisciplinary team.&nbsp;
You will act as a Consultant / Responsible Clinician for patients in this setting. You will have CCT in General Adult or Forensic psychiatry and experience of working with and leading multidisciplinary teams.&nbsp; You will be part of an environment that specialises in providing rehabilitation utilising positive behavioural support principles and empowering service users in their recovery.&nbsp;
Spring Wood Lodge is located in the outskirts of Leeds at Guiseley and has close links to NHS services with established care pathways. It has excellent transport links to Bradford, Leeds and is within a short distance of Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Your responsibilities will include:
<ul type="disc">
 <li>Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews and the development of a therapeutic milieu.</li>
 <li>Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician to patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).</li>
 <li>Offering a psychiatric perspective to the multidisciplinary team in relation to the assessment, formulation and treatment of patients.</li>
 <li>Contributing to management meetings and clinical governance meetings for the services provided at the hospital, and contributing to the development of service strategy.</li>
 <li>Contributing to in-house training programmes within the services and offering supervision to other members of the multi-disciplinary team, particularly junior medical staff.</li>
 <li>Maintaining CPD and re-validation requirements, as determined by the Royal College of Psychiatrists or other relevant statutory bodies.</li>
</ul>
To be successful in this role, you will:

 <li>Be medically qualified, MRC Psych or equivalent</li>
 <li>Be innovative and imaginative with the ability to initiate corporate decisions</li>
 <li>Have essential understanding of current developments in psychiatry and other aspects of mental health</li>
 <li>Have substantial knowledge of change management, relevant legislation, contemporary issues in mental health, knowledge of and experience in purchaser/provider contractual issues</li>
 <li>Have previous Consultant experience in a management role</li>

<h2>Fully remote, full-time internship for aspiring clinical psychologists, psychotherapists and counsellors.</h2>Our Clinical Psychology Internship equips aspiring mental health professionals worldwide with essential skills and practical client-facing experience, preparing them for careers in clinical psychology, coaching, psychotherapy, or counselling.Interns complete an intensive one-month crash course covering a toolkit of evidence-based techniques from Motivational Interviewing, Coaching, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). They then provide free online, one-to-one coaching to global clients who otherwise lack access to mental health care, initially promoting behaviour change (e.g., diet, sleep, reducing procrastination) and later progressing to clients experiencing depression or anxiety.<h3>About Overcome</h3>Overcome is a UK-registered charity (Charity Number: 1191308) providing online mental health coaching worldwide, particularly to underserved communities in developing countries. We are a trusted placement provider for leading universities such as UCL, Bath, and Loughborough.<h3>Internship Overview</h3>This internship is a fully remote, unpaid, full-time (~30 hours/week) role.  An exciting
opportunity has arisen to join our friendly Ultrasound team at BDGH NHS
foundation trust.This friendly team provides ultrasound
services across two sites, one at the main hospital site and also the brand-new
community diagnostic centre in Barnsley town centre. This high-profile centre
is the first of its kind in this area, within a shopping centre and provides
ultrasound and other radiology services within the heart of the community. With
easy parking and being surrounded by retail units this centre is the ideal
place to work. Barnsley town centre has undergone a multi-million-pound
regeneration scheme and is a vibrant, bustling town offering good quality
retail outlets and leisure facilities. The nearby Peak district offers
beautiful scenery, walking and outdoor activities. There is easy access to the
M1 at both sites and the train and bus station is a five-minute walk from the
community diagnostic centre. A slightly longer walk or very short bus journey
will bring you to the main hospital site. You will be actively encouraged to widen your
scope of practise as we provide a paediatric, musculoskeletal, head and neck
service and an expanding vascular service as well as more routine work in both
general and obstetric ultrasound. The sonographers here have a wide range of
experience and are always happy to share their knowledge. Particular areas of
interest will also be actively encouraged and we are hoping to expand our
sonographer led neck FNA service.



 <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
 The purpose of this role is to
provide an independent, cost effective, accurate ultrasound service.The successful candidate will
have a high level of clinical competence in a wide range of ultrasound
techniques. A Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Ultrasound or equivalent and
current state registration is essential as is excellent interpersonal and communication
skills.The successful candidate will
demonstrate good team work and be compliant with all mandatory training
including clinical governance and protection.Experience of working in an NHS setting is
