Croydon Drop In (CDI) are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Student Volunteer Counsellors on Placement to work within our award-winning Voluntary Sector services. The post-holder will work within our safeguarding protocols to provide safe interventions for children and young people using evidence-based methodologies. The post holder will safely work with people across different cultural backgrounds and ages and will be committed to equality, diversity and inclusion. 
Our team is supported by student practitioners completing their final year of their practitioner studies.
Please note:
Counselling training providers usually require you to obtain a certain amount of client contact hours with adults i.e. 18 years plus, therefore it’s important to note that the majority of clients accessing our CDI counselling services are under 18 years of age. As a student placement provider, CDI makes for an ideal 2nd placement that will ensure you have adequate young people contact hours, largely under 18 years of age, providing you with the learning experiences you need to meet the competency requirements of your training course and provider. It is important to check with your training provider, the cap on the number of under 18 years of age clients permitted for your course.

Ensure OH Screening OHTs are confident, competent and fully utilised to maximise revenue and support in delivering the Business Plan., through collaboration with the OHT Team Leaders, to promote continuous improvement within their teams regarding audit feedback and engagement with quality service delivery.Traveling as part of the role to attend meetings, provide support and training, as well as cover annual leave and any sickness absence is necessary however PAM will always look to minimise this.Key Accountabilities and ResponsibilitiesMaintaining a positive customer service experience, and the quality of the delivery of Occupational Health Services within the full Occupational Health Technician team.Appropriate clinical supervision (in accordance with/within the confines of any delegated authority from a Registered Healthcare Professional) of their regional Occupational Health Technician team.Increasing the business quality through effective relationship building with employees &amp; managers.Ensure that OHT resources are utilised (within the remit of role) to maximise revenue and productivity within the Technician team (maximising billable hours for each team's contracted working days), by working alongside the Utilisation Manager; provide pastoral care/line management and clinical support to OHT Team (inc.  <li>Please note that not all schools will have placements available, but we will try our best to match you to a convenient placement.</li>
 <li>We recruit for Counsellors to start in school in January, April or September in line with school term time. Please note the recruitment and onboarding process can take 2-3 months.</li>

Counsellors&nbsp;on Placement provide emotional and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 4-18 in Place2Be partner schools. As an organisation that has adopted the BACP ethical framework of good practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, counsellors working within the organisation are dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of the children they work with.
<ul type="disc">
 <li>Place2Be provides a high level of support to counsellors on placement through regular supervision, tailored training workshops and offers a well-recognised clinical placement*.</li>
 <li>We provide a comprehensive induction programme and clinical supervision is undertaken at the end of each day.</li>
 <li>We need you to be available for a minimum of one day per week to work in a therapeutic capacity with up to 3 children offering one-to-one counselling.</li>
 <li>Placements are term time only and run for one academic year. There are opportunities for you to stay with us beyond one year.</li>
 <li>You will have the opportunity to attend up to six optional workshops throughout the year which are recognised as continuing professional development time.</li>
 <li>Sessions spent with children are accepted as clinical hours towards professional accreditation, and are recognised by the BACP and UKCP.</li>
 <li>A placement is an excellent stepping stone into a job opportunity and career with Place2Be, over&nbsp;⅔&nbsp;of our clinical staff were once Counsellors on Placement.</li>
 <li>We have places available in our projects in both primary and secondary schools nationwide.</li>

*Counting your hours
All clinical hours gained on placement can be used towards accreditation with a body such as BACP and UKCP. However if you need to gain clinical hours for your course, we would strongly advise that you check with your course tutor as to whether child hours are accepted before applying. If your course does not accept child hours but you would like to gain counselling experience of working with Children and Young People, you can still apply for a Place2Be placement as a second placement.

You will be a fully qualified Counsellor, Therapist or studying towards one of these professions at the following levels:
<ul type="disc">
 <li>Diploma in Counselling (Level 4 or above). If you are in your first year you will have completed a full academic year Certificate Course in Counselling or the equivalent of 9 - 12 months.</li>
 <li>Degree, MSc or MA in Counselling or Psychotherapy - if you are in your first year you will have relevant experience of direct work with children.</li>

We are recruiting for a peripatetic role to cover either one or two days a week. The FTE salary for the role is £35,051 which is pro rata depending on the hours you wish to work (7 or 14).

A qualified therapist/ counsellor, you’ve been working in the profession for at least a year, and now it’s time to take the next step. As a  Place2Be Supervising Counsellor- Peripatetic&nbsp;you will provide quality service in schools in situations such as new school set up, cover School Based Staff long and short  term absences and extra support when required. You will effectively manage all aspects of the Place2Be school project in partnership with the school, ensuring that the children and young people are provided with therapeutic and emotional support.&nbsp;

About The RoleWe are looking for an experienced Executive Assistant who can take the reins to cover a period of maternity leave. You’ll be responsible for ensuring two directors are fully supported with their busy workload by handling their diary management, fulfilling reporting requirements, preparing meeting documents and taking minutes as well as delivering or supporting on key project work. This role has a specific focus on manipulating and presenting data for reports, therefore you will need to have excellent Excel skills and Power BI experience would be beneficial.
