<p><strong>Your role</strong></p><p>We are looking for an experienced and passionate Support Worker - Ethnic Minority Communities to work at our Sahayak Bame Services Team.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>This is a Part time Role working 16&nbsp;hours a week.&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Imagine being part of an organisation whose common purpose is to help those who are severely impacted by mental illness. <p>Counsellors&nbsp;on Placement provide emotional and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 4-18 in Place2Be partner schools. As an organisation that has adopted the BACP ethical framework of good practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, counsellors working within the organisation are dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of the children they work with.</p>

    <li>Place2Be provides a high level of support to counsellors on placement through regular supervision, tailored training workshops and offers a well-recognised clinical placement*.</li>
    <li>We provide a comprehensive induction programme and clinical supervision is undertaken at the end of each day.</li>
    <li>We need you to be available for a minimum of one day per week to work in a therapeutic capacity with up to 3 children offering one-to-one counselling.</li>
    <li>Placements are term time only and run for one academic year. There are opportunities for you to stay with us beyond one year.</li>
    <li>You will have the opportunity to attend up to six optional workshops throughout the year which are recognised as continuing professional development time.</li>
    <li>Sessions spent with children are accepted as clinical hours towards professional accreditation, and are recognised by the BACP and UKCP.</li>

About the Role

You'll be an experienced, qualified High Intensity Therapist ideally with BABCP accreditation (or willing to complete within 6 months) and who likes working as part of a supportive team to help clients who struggle with common mental health problems such as anxiety and/or depression. You will assess clients for suitability for psychological interventions and formulate and evaluate their therapy programmes. 

To support you in your role you will receive weekly 1:1 clinical supervision, 4 weekly group supervision, 4 weekly reflective practice and monthly line management.

About the Role

You'll be an experienced, qualified High Intensity Therapist ideally with BABCP accreditation (or willing to complete within 6 months) and who likes working as part of a supportive team to help clients who struggle with common mental health problems such as anxiety and/or depression. You will assess clients for suitability for psychological interventions and formulate and evaluate their therapy programmes. 

To support you in your role you will receive weekly 1:1 clinical supervision, 4 weekly group supervision, 4 weekly reflective practice and monthly line management.

  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Younger Adults Psychological Service in Mental Health Together PLUS, in the West Kent Directorate.</p>
<p>This post would suit someone who has a genuine interest in working therapeutically with this varied and rewarding client group. An understanding of and ability to work with people with severe and complex mental health difficulties is essential.</p>

  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <ul>
<li>To be responsible for the systematic provision of a range of evidence-basedpsychological interventions to working age adults with severe and enduring mentalhealth difficulties referred by the Community Mental Health teams within thelocality.</li>
<li>To undertake high quality direct (assessment and therapeutic) and indirect(consultative, advisory and evaluative) specialist psychology interventions withinthe service and taking substantial professional responsibility and exercisingautonomous judgement in their professional practice.</li>
<li>To ensure the clinical effectiveness of own practice and of service functioning byundertaking research and development relevant to the service area.</li>
<li>To be regularly responsible for providing and contributing to training placements for trainee clinical/counselling psychologists and for providing professional support and line-management to basic/senior psychologists in this specialism</li>
