Are you passionate about delivering high intensity interventions in line with the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies initiative?</p> <p><strong>You will be an accred</strong><strong>ited CBT therapist and have completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, or recently qualified and be working towards accreditation in order to apply. Anyone without this qualification will not be considered for interview.</strong></p> <p>Our High Intensity Workers benefit from hybrid working, providing face-to-face sessions with patients whilst in base and remote sessions when working from home.   <p>As a High Intensity Therapist you will be working with clients who have a range of anxiety and depression related problems for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective. You will hold a caseload for individual work (face-to-face and remotely delivered), amongst other duties. We welcome applicants who have experience of managing a caseload and who have experience of working within a NHS Talking Therapy Service.</p>
<p>You will be expected to be flexible and provide out of hours clinics as required by service need and demonstrate a willingness to travel. Durham and Darlington NHS Talking Therapy Service currently operates Monday- Friday covering some early morning/early evening working through 1:1 clinics which all staff are expected to offer.</p>

skills and leadership experience to work within Sunderlands Mental Health

to be part of Sunderlands Mental Health Support Team The Health Heads Team
as a Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner. This is a training post in
conjunction with Northumbria University. 
The trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) will work closely with
schools across Sunderland to support the delivery of the national Mental Health
Support Team (MHST) model. MHSTs are school based mental health service
focusing on early intervention and prevention, offering Low Intensity CBT
interventions for mild to moderate difficulties, supporting the development of the
whole school approach and offering consultation, advice and training. EMHPs
work on a 1:1, with parents/carers and deliver groups in the education setting.
</p><p>To access the
university course potential candidates will need to be educated to degree level
and have experience of working with children and young people ideally in a
school environment. </p><p>Candidates who are successful at shortlisting will be invited to an open
morning prior to interview.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>We have a fantastic opportunity within our
Sunderland Mental Health Support Team to train as an Education Mental Health
Practitioner. </p><p>The post holder will be expected to commit to
training at Northumbria University whilst working with schools within our
Mental Health Support Team to gain the knowledge and clinical experience in
order to achieve a Post
Graduate Diploma in Mental Health and
Emotional Wellbeing Studies in the Education Environment and qualify as an Education Mental Health Practitioner. 

Our EMHPs work across Sunderland schools to support the implementation of the
National Mental Health Support Team model, supporting children and young people
with their mental health and emotional wellbeing needs. </p><p>The post holder will work in our established teams
to fulfil all 3 functions of a Mental Health Support Team including the
delivery of Low
Intensity CBT (LICBT) evidence-based interventions in particular around anxiety
and low mood. They will work collaboratively with schools to deliver Whole
School Approach, build positive mental health culture, awareness and emotional
resilience through workshops, assemblies, and whole school activities, and they
will work with educators to provide regular consultation and timely advice
around children and young peoples mental health.</p><p>If this is

<p>You will be a fully qualified Counsellor, Therapist or studying towards one of these professions at the following levels:</p>

    <li>Diploma in Counselling (Level 4 or above). If you are in your first year you will have completed a full academic year Certificate Course in Counselling or the equivalent of 9 - 12 months.</li>
    <li>Degree, MSc or MA in Counselling or Psychotherapy - if you are in your first year you will have relevant experience of direct work with children.</li>

We also provide a range of professional development programmes on mental health and wellbeing for school leaders, teachers and other professionals who work with children and young people, so we can help to build ‘mentally healthy’ schools and communities where all children can thrive and flourish.</p>
