within Child and Adolescent Mental Health? Are you looking for a

skills and leadership experience to work within Sunderlands Mental Health
Support Team? If so, this could be the opportunity for you. </p><p>We have new and exciting opportunities
to be part of Sunderlands Mental Health Support Team The Health Heads Team
as a Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner. This is a training post in
conjunction with Northumbria University. 
The trainee Education Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) will work closely with
schools across Sunderland to support the delivery of the national Mental Health
Support Team (MHST) model. MHSTs are school based mental health service
focusing on early intervention and prevention, offering Low Intensity CBT
interventions for mild to moderate difficulties, supporting the development of the
whole school approach and offering consultation, advice and training. EMHPs
work on a 1:1, with parents/carers and deliver groups in the education setting.
</p><p>To access the
university course potential candidates will need to be educated to degree level
and have experience of working with children and young people ideally in a
school environment. </p><p>Candidates who are successful at shortlisting will be invited to an open
morning prior to interview.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>We have a fantastic opportunity within our
Sunderland Mental Health Support Team to train as an Education Mental Health
Practitioner. </p><p>The post holder will be expected to commit to
training at Northumbria University whilst working with schools within our
Mental Health Support Team to gain the knowledge and clinical experience in
order to achieve a Post
Graduate Diploma in Mental Health and
Emotional Wellbeing Studies in the Education Environment and qualify as an Education Mental Health Practitioner. 

Our EMHPs work across Sunderland schools to support the implementation of the
National Mental Health Support Team model, supporting children and young people
with their mental health and emotional wellbeing needs. </p><p>The post holder will work in our established teams
to fulfil all 3 functions of a Mental Health Support Team including the
delivery of Low
Intensity CBT (LICBT) evidence-based interventions in particular around anxiety
and low mood. They will work collaboratively with schools to deliver Whole
School Approach, build positive mental health culture, awareness and emotional
resilience through workshops, assemblies, and whole school activities, and they
will work with educators to provide regular consultation and timely advice
around children and young peoples mental health.</p><p>If this is

  <p>An exciting opportunity has arisen at Sunderland Counselling Service for an energetic individual with 2 years post qualifying experience of working as a counsellor / therapist with children and young people from 5-18 years old. This post will be part time for 3 days a week</p><p>Sunderland Counselling Service Head Office is based in John Street in the city centre and we expect the successful post holder will work from a community base(s) across the Sunderland area.</p><p>The post holder who will hold a counselling qualification to Degree, MSc, MA, or Diploma level and will be working in a Sunderland Community Children and Young People's Mental Health Service (SCCAYPMHS) locality base within Sunderland as part of a team of counsellors. The post holder will be engaged in the delivery and development of the counselling, supervision and training components of the service, and will work with children and young people whose lives are, or have been, affected by events to such a level that it impacts upon their emotional and mental well-being.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>You will assess the needs of children and young people, in relation to their emotional and mental well-being, offering counselling to help them to address these issues.</p><p>You will participate in team development, training, regular supervision sessions as well as attending all team meetings and will help to contribute to the further development and sustainability of the service.</p><p>You will also be accountable for personal conduct and professional practice in relation to all relevant legislation and according to Sunderland Community Children and Young People's Mental Health Service (SCCAYPMHS) policies and procedures.</p><p>You will keep accurate and appropriate records of the work carried out including contributing to the provision of accurate statistical information using the relevant outcome measures used by the service.</p><p>The post requires effective and creative work, and may involve some evening and weekend work. It has a strong person centred ethic, and has grown into one of the leading IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) providers for mental health across the North East of England.</p><p>Although you will be line managed through Sunderland Counselling Service you will be working as part of an integrated Sunderland Community Children and Young People's Mental Health Service (SCCAYPMHS)- formerly known as CAMHS-team. Following all of their policies and procedures.   <p>We are looking for an experienced mental health professional to join our Service Access Team as a Community Mental Health Co-ordinator, within North Tyneside Specialist Community Psychology Service. The role supports patients from the point they access the service, through the assessment process and into treatment. You will also liaise both internally within the service and externally with other agencies to ensure that clients receive the best possible care while assessing patients suitability for a range of therapeutic interventions within the service.</p>

  <p>Northumberland Talking Therapies has an exciting opportunity to recruit a qualified PWP who holds accreditation with either the BABCP or BPS and is keen to develop their skills and experience within our
organisation, working to
deliver low intensity service provision to residents from the Northumberland
area. The position can be offered as a minimum of 22.5 hours or up to and including full time. You will be based in one of our Northumberland offices, but this is a hybrid position with home working options available.</p><p>The
post-holder will work within a service where caseload is monitored on booked
appointments, and which offers fantastic progression opportunities from supervisor
training to trainee high-intensity CBT positions.</p><p>The
post-holder will provide low intensity interventions including a
range of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based self-management
interventions to clients experiencing mild to moderate anxiety and depression.

this role you will:</p><p>Undertake
triage assessments</p><p>Provide
a range of low intensity interventions through guided self-help and
computerised CBT, via telephone, video and face to face appointments.</p><p>Facilitate step 2 psycho educational online groups</p><p>Have
the opportunity to contribute to a number of innovative service improvement projects.
The service has a number of Special Interest Groups which seek to improve and innovate the service offered to the area. This includes but is
not limited to perinatal, long term health conditions, and young people.</p><p>Have
the opportunity to act as a mentor to trainee PWPs</p><p>Attend regular line management, case management and clinical skills supervision</p><p>Work closely with other PWPs to support one another and utilise skills and knowledge</p><p>Attend CPD events</p>  <h3>About us</h3>

<p>Counsellors&nbsp;on Placement provide emotional and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 4-18 in Place2Be partner schools. As an organisation that has adopted the BACP ethical framework of good practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, counsellors working within the organisation are dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of the children they work with.</p>

<p>Counsellors&nbsp;on Placement provide emotional and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 4-18 in Place2Be partner schools. As an organisation that has adopted the BACP ethical framework of good practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, counsellors working within the organisation are dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of the children they work with.</p>

    <li>Place2Be provides a high level of support to counsellors on placement through regular supervision, tailored training workshops and offers a well-recognised clinical placement*.</li>
    <li>We provide a comprehensive induction programme and clinical supervision is undertaken at the end of each day.</li>
    <li>We need you to be available for a minimum of one day per week to work in a therapeutic capacity with up to 3 children offering one-to-one counselling.</li>
    <li>Placements are term time only and run for one academic year. There are opportunities for you to stay with us beyond one year.</li>
