<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>The West York Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) are looking to appoint a Band 8a Highly Specialist Applied Psychologist to work as part of our multi-disciplinary team.</p> <p>Applicants will be required to have post-graduate training (doctoral level equivalent) in clinical / counselling / forensic psychology (or its equivalent prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS and be registered in as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC. Significant experience and competencies in delivering and supervising evidence based psychological intervention for SMHP is also essential.</p> <p>Although this post is advertised as an 8a post, we are willing to consider applications from Psychologists who do not yet meet the essential criteria for a Band 8a, but who would be interested in undertaking the post at a Band 7 initially, with a supportive plan for development and progression in due course.</p> <p>We welcome applications from staff who are currently coming to the end of their training in Clinical or Counselling Psychology that on successful completion will achieve the required qualification and registration with HCPC as Practitioner Psychologist. Please see notes below regarding trainee eligibility to apply.</p>



  <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>A key part of the role is to provide direct clinical work, promote psychological thinking with all members of the team by helping staff to develop formulations for clients, offering supervision and joint work with the team, supporting staff wellbeing and providing training in psychological theory and its implementation.</p> <p>The successful candidate will have significant experience of working psychologically with people who experience severe mental health problems and competencies in an evidence based psychological therapy for SMHP. They will contribute to the collective clinical leadership of the service. They will be responsible for the provision of specialist psychological assessment and formulation, and the delivery of evidence based psychological therapy and clinical supervision. The post holder will contribute to service development and improvement within the locality and the professional leadership of psychological professions.</p>

  <p>Would you like to be part of a new, exciting and innovative service working with young people with an ethos of prevention and early intervention?</p> <p>In line with the government's priority to increase access and availability of mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people, the new Mental Health Support Teams (named by children and young people in the region as Wellbeing in Mind teams) are an exciting opportunity to deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people, working across both educational settings and healthcare sectors in England.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The Wellbeing in Mind team has 3 functions:</p> <ol>  <li>Support the development of a whole-school or college approach to wellbeing. This can include, but is not limited to, supporting sites to develop and implement mental health and wellbeing policies, development of resources, supporting campaigns and delivering training, assemblies and PHSE curriculum.</li>  <li>Provide timely advice and consultation to education staff. This is designed to support teaching staff to build their skills and confidence in supporting the wellbeing needs of their students/pupils. This is offered in both a formal and informal way.</li>  <li>Undertake direct assessments and intervention for young people within education. We offer a low intensity service model, predominantly using cognitive-behavioural therapy.</li> </ol> <p>Each function accounts for a third of the team's workload.</p> <p>Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.</p>

  <p>This is an exciting time to join us in making a real change for children and young people across our area, as we are looking for a <strong>Children and Young People's Well-Being Practitioner</strong> to work in our team of experienced clinical psychologists, specialist epilepsy nurses and consultant paediatricians based at York Hospital. </p> <p>We are delighted to be chosen as a national pilot site for integrating mental health support into children and young people's epilepsy care.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>Your role will be to deliver an innovative, manualised CBT-based intervention, to children and young people who have been screened by their team and shown to require psychological support. This intervention, MICE (Mental Health Intervention for Children with Epilepsy), is designed to improve the treatment of mental health problems in young people with epilepsy and has been shown to be effective in a large-scale research project. </p> <p>It can be delivered by telephone, video conferencing or face to face, and training will be provided. You will be using evidence-based interventions with supervision from the senior clinical psychologist. Children’s Psychological Well-being Practitioner

<h2>Job summary</h2>
  <p>The role of the Health Support Worker is to deliver high quality community assessment and inpatient care under supervision from qualified colleagues. The post holder will provide therapeutic support and practical assistance to service users in order for them to actively engage in their unique recovery process. The post requires effective liaison with service users, carers, and other professionals and agencies as required. It will involve the provision of direct physical and psychological care, offering therapeutic time to a defined client group working at all times within the principles of recovery. Our Health Support Workers are at the centre of engaging our service users, not just in ward based activity and therapy but also within the local community.</p> <p>The purpose of this post is to provide and support the highest standards of evidence based clinical practice, in all areas of the work of the Crisis Assessment Unit and Police Pathway. This will be achieved directly through clinical practice and participating in clinical support and supervision.</p> <p>The CAU/Police Pathway provide a 24 hour, 7 day service and the post holder will be expected to work shifts that support the provision of patient care. The post-holder will be expected to rotate between the Crisis Assessment Unit and the S136 Suite (incorporating Street Triage) on a shift-by-shift basis. When working within the police pathway, there may be an expectation to be available for timely response to Street Triage calls.</p>
