  <p>We're looking for a Practitioner Psychologist or Psychological Therapist (CBT) to join our friendly, highly-skilled and enthusiastic community of psychological professionals in the Brighton &amp; Hove Neighbourhood Mental Health Team. This is a Band 7 post for two days per week, for a one year fixed term to cover maternity leave. The post is based in East Brighton Neighbourhood Mental Health Team and you will be working with people with complex mental health problems, their families and carers.</p> <p>We are keen to support your professional development and will support you to undertake additional specialist training relevant to the post, plus the regular CPD opportunities for psychological professionals available in the Trust. There will also be the opportunity for you to have protected time to gain experience in other parts of Brighton community mental health services if this would be of interest.</p> <p>We would like to support you to develop a specialism within your role to build your expertise in an area of interest, such as within trauma, psychosis or complex emotional needs.   <p>This role requires you to use your lived experience of mental health conditions, which enables you to work with service users differently and foster a sense of "I've been there" connection.</p> <p>We are looking to recruit a peer support worker to join our Community Rehabilitation Service (CRS) in Brighton and Hove. We are a supportive, well-resourced and staffed team located across Brighton General Hospital and Millview Hospital, which is well served by public transport, as is the whole city.   <h3>Main duties of the job</h3>
  <p>The CRS is a specialist mental health team working with service users with a primary diagnosis of psychosis who have complex needs including drug and alcohol misuse. Service users under CRS require an intensive level of support to ensure their recovery; some have a history of difficulty forming relationships with mental health services/professionals and may have had multiple admissions to hospital. You will work in partnership with a diverse team of clinicians and support staff including Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Nurses and our third sector partners. </p> <p>In line with our Trust value of 'People First', evidence shows that people who are treated in community and in the least restrictive manner, have better outcomes. In this role you will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, to help us provide this opportunity for our service users in line with national agendas of The Getting It Right First Time a whole system approach to recovery from mental ill health, maximising an individual's quality of life and social inclusion.</p> <p>You will be working under the guidance of a qualified professional in the team and there will mentoring and support available from more experienced peer workers within the Trust.
